CNN anchor Don Lemon is facing "ethical questions," after it was claimed in court that he had warned Jussie Smollett about the police investigation into his alleged racist and homophobic attack.
Former Empire star Smollett is currently awaiting the jury's verdict, after standing trial amid accusations he orchestrated his own alleged attack by two men in 2019 on the streets of Chicago, during which he stated that a noose was tied around his neck.
During a court testimony earlier this week, Smollett alleged that Lemon had sent him a message informing him that the Chicago Police Department did not believe his account of what had happened on the night in question.
The claim sparked an outcry among many, a number called on CNN to fire Lemon, while others questioned the legality of his alleged actions.
What is happening in the Ethics of CNN? This didn't just happen yesterday or just in one situation.  Just a thought.

Tester...

The Senate on Wednesday voted to nix President Biden's vaccine mandate for larger businesses, handing Republicans a symbolic win.

Senators voted 52-48 on the resolution, which needed a simple majority to be approved. Democratic Sens. Jon Tester (Mont.) and Joe Manchin (W.Va.) voted with Republicans, giving it enough support to be sent to the House.

The resolution faces an uphill path in the House, where Republicans aren't able to use a similar fast-track process to force a vote over the objections of Democratic leadership. Instead, Republicans are hoping to get the simple majority needed to force a vote through a discharge petition, which will require support from a handful of House Democrats.

But Republicans view Wednesday's Senate vote as a significant win, and it's the first time they've been able to use the Congressional Review Act to successfully get a resolution targeting a Biden rule through the Senate.

Some of the Democrats Senators are not happy with the current disarray. Just a thought.

Try...

Regular exercise is the most important thing you can do for brain health.  Exercise, both aerobic and nonaerobic (strength training), is not only good for the body; it's even better for the brain

"Using sugar to fuel your muscles instead of sitting idle in your blood helps prevent dramatic glucose and insulin fluctuations … that increase the risk for dementia.

Exercise also helps lower inflammation, and that is critical in preventing dementia.

Healthy food recommends consuming less red meat and processed foods and take more fruits and vegetables.

One brain food in particular: "Berries, in terms of what they can do for the brain and some of these certain chemicals that they release, are probably going to be one of your best foods."

Tea...

Not only does peppermint tea make for a nice calorie-free drink option, but it is also packed full of nutrients that can aid in weight loss. Peppermint has antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties, and because it acts as an anti-inflammatory, it can help improve digestive issues as well.
Although there isn't much existing evidence to prove it fully, some research has found that peppermint can act as a muscle relaxant. Peppermint can soothe your muscles, and, in turn, can help pass food and gas more easily, which is the reason why a lot of herbal teas use peppermint as an ingredient.
The best way to burn belly fat is to find a workout you love and want to do regularly, while finding healthy foods you love to eat as well. And if you want a delicious drink to help you along in your weight loss journey, peppermint tea is a great choice.

Mild..er

Early reports from South Africa seem to indicate the Omicron variant of coronavirus is much more contagious than previous variants while causing milder disease, though experts there warn definitive data won't be available for weeks.

"This virus comes with both barrels loaded – high infectivity and potentially the ability for immune evasion. But maybe what it's lacking is pathogenicity," said Dr. Warner Greene, director of the Center for HIV Cure Research at the Gladstone Institutes in San Francisco.

COVID-19 cases in South Africa's Gauteng province are doubling every day and 75% of infections are due to omicron. There is also a week-over-week increase in hospital admissions.

But so far there have not been an increase in deaths or even hospitalized people who require oxygen, said Greene, who spoke on a call with reporters Monday.

However, let us scare the public up ahead. Make decisions to restrict the liberty of people and then "we need more info."  Just a thought.
