FOMO

Limiting the use of Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat directly leads to reductions in loneliness and depression, a recent study published by the University of Pennsylvania.

The study is titled "No More FOMO: Limiting Social Media Decreases Loneliness and Depression," and as part of it, researchers observed 143 undergraduate students over three weeks.

The experiment found that among the group that limited its use of social media, the researchers saw significant declines in depressive symptoms.

Though other studies have found correlations between social media and mental health issues, this study claims to be the first "to establish a clear causal link between decreasing social media use, and improvements in loneliness and depression."

It is ironic that reducing social media, which promised to help us connect with others, actually helps people feel less lonely and depressed.

In the United States, Irreconcilable Differences is one of several possible grounds often used as justification for a no-fault divorce. In many cases, irreconcilable differences were the original and only grounds for no-fault divorce.^[1] California now lists one other possible basis, "incurable insanity", on its divorce petition form.^[2]

Any sort of difference between the two parties that either cannot or will not be changed can be considered irreconcilable differences. A difference could be that of a difference in character, personality, belief, or some other personality trait. Some states use the terms irremediable breakdown, irretrievable breakdown, or incompatibility. In some states where the official grounds is 'irreconcilable differences', the statutory definition of that term may include a waiting period or a mutual-consent requirement.

Women are commonly believed to have stronger intuition than men, but this inclination is often undervalued in our logic-based society. As women, we are taught at an early age to ignore our intuition, and trust in the wisdom of others instead. We’re also likely to be criticized for being too sensitive, too emotional, too dramatic, and too illogical when we’re operating off of our intuition. This constant barrage of criticism can cloud our judgment and make us doubt ourselves, and our instincts. Women are known to overthink and pick things apart to such detail that they end up forming their own opinions based on what they think the truth is.

Money...

Given the frequency of money fights, it’s no wonder that a recent study of engaged couples found that more than two-thirds of the couples expressed negative attitudes about discussing money.  While confidence about being about to talk productively about this sensitive subject was low and their dread was high, almost half said that they would want to face this awkward subject nonetheless.  

At the same time, 1 out of every 12 couples in the study, feared that if they tried to talk about their financial realities, they would end up breaking off the engagement.  

So if you think couples fight a lot about sex, take a look at the stats for fights about money.

California has dry, and often hot weather conditions from spring through late autumn that can produce moderate to devastating wildfires. 

At times, these wildfires are fanned by strong, dry winds, Diablo winds occur in the northern part of the state and Santa Ana winds in the south. 

Wildfires in California are growing more dangerous as people build in rural burn areas. 

United States taxpayers pay about US$3 billion a year to fight wildfires, in addition to billions of dollars in property losses. 

With the threat of cutting  tax payers fund to this endless problem, a new look at the solution will be achieved.

Lu Yushan, a retired salesman, has advice for investors in China's slumping stock market: Sell. Lu's shares soared over the past decade. But the 65-year-old, driven away by plunging prices, insider trading scandals, a cooling economy and a tariff war with Washington.  "Investors should get out."  

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index sank 30 percent from January through mid-October. Prices fell so far that China  as No. 2 market by share value dropped to third place behind Japan.  

The slump adds to challenges for communist leaders as they try to shore up economic growth and carry on a tariff war with President Donald Trump over Beijing's technology policy. It also puts a kink in plans for state industry to use share sales to pay down a multibillion-dollar mountain of debt and modernize.

China must stop theft of intellectual property, balance fair trade, and reduce the hostility and military buildup in the South China Sea.
