Big drugmaker Mylan was slapped with a class-action racketeering lawsuit that claims the company engaged in an illegal scheme to dramatically increase the list price of its EpiPen anti-allergy device over the past decade.

The suit alleges that the "skyrocketing" list price of EpiPen for consumers was the result of Mylan's payments of rebates to pharmacy benefit managers — including CVS Caremark, Express Scripts and Optum Rx — which handle prescription drug benefit programs for insurance plans.

The suit claims violations of consumer protection laws of all U.S. states, as well as a violation of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act. If granted class-action status, the suit would cover all consumers. What a web we weave.

Mark Hacking, 28, was outgoing and romantic, while Lori, 27, was private and practical.
He adored her and she adored him," recalls Lori's mother.  "I couldn't have asked for a better son-in-law.

Hacking reported his wife missing, "she never came home after going for an early jog in nearby woods".

Police learned that he'd been shopping for a new mattress before he called 911.  He was convicted of killing Lori.

Around 7 a.m. March 5, a 26-year-old pregnant woman was hit from behind in the head with a hammer in Briarwood, Queens. Her handbag was stolen.

Police believe two earlier incidents are related to the this attack with similar methodology.  The suspect was arrested.

Watch for the name. It may be tricky.    Just a thought.

The man who didn't tell law enforcement that he knew about a massacre plot at a historically black South Carolina church before the crime was committed and lied to the FBI about it was sentenced to 27 months in prison Tuesday.

Joey Meek was a friend of Dylann Roof, the man convicted and sentenced to death for killing nine people at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston in June 2015.

U.S. District Judge Richard Gergel, who also presided over Roof's trial, said he wanted Meek to spend time in prison as a deterrent for anyone in the future who knows about something so serious and fails to report it.

Meek admitted that Roof had told him he'd been planning the attack for months, and intended to commit suicide after the killings were complete. Meek also said Roof had told him he had a gun fanny pack to carry extra ammunition.

Kidnapped...

An Iraqi man, his wife and a brother came to the U.S. in 2008 as refugees from Iraq.

They fabricated the immigration papers and decided to skip his brother's name from the family tree.  A brother who participated in the 2004 kidnapping of American contractor Roy Hallums.

R.H. was kidnapped and held with other hostages for months in horrible conditions in an underground bunker in Iraq, the Justice Department said.

When all three applied for U.S. citizenship, they had to answer whether they had ever given false or misleading information while applying for any immigration benefit.      

Who are we letting in?  God Help us all.

At least 25 people are known to have died when a rain-soaked hillside collapsed without warning, unleashing a wall of mud that engulfed dozens of homes in a river valley near the rural town of Oso, Seattle. Many are still missing days after the mudslide. 

Numerous reports dating back to the 1950s have warned that the hillside, that collapsed,  is subject to failure. Indeed, the very same portion of hillside outside Oso, has slid into the Stillaguamish River numerous times since the 1950s.

Daniel Miller, a geomorph­ologist, has studied the area and reported to the US Army Corps of Engineers. He warned of “large catastrophic failure.”
The resident weren't aware of the danger they are living in of this particular location.

Many dangers are around us, known to some but the public is unaware of. Hope that the outcomes are not as grim as the mudslide. God Help us all.
