Mark Hacking, 28, was outgoing and romantic, while Lori, 27, was private and practical.
He adored her and she adored him," recalls Lori's mother.  "I couldn't have asked for a better son-in-law.

Hacking reported his wife missing, "she never came home after going for an early jog in nearby woods".

Police learned that he'd been shopping for a new mattress before he called 911.  He was convicted of killing Lori.

Japanese people enjoy one of the longest average life spans in the world — 86 years for women and 79 for men (80 & 75 respective for Americans)  with far lower rates of obesity and chronic diseases like osteoporosis, heart disease and some types of cancer.

The diet incorporates lower-calorie foods served in controlled portions. They eat around 25 per cent fewer calories than the average western person.

The secret is to replace energy-dense foods, like chocolate, potato chips, and cookies, with less energy-dense, like fruits, vegetables, etc. In a study from Penn. State U., researchers served women meals that were 25% smaller than average and contained 30% fewer calories according to the principles of energy density. They ended up eating an average of 800 calories less per day, without missing the extra food.

The Japanese achieve a lot of physical activity by simple actions such as walking, climbing stairs and using a bicycle to run errands.

Image result for kidnap husbands to force divorce

Rabbi Mendel Epstein goes on trial on charges of conspiracy to commit kidnapping and attempted kidnapping. Prosecutors allege that the Orthodox rabbi's team used brutal methods and tools, including handcuffs and electric cattle prods, to torture men into granting divorces.   The targets: Jewish husbands unwilling to divorce their wives.
"If it can get a bull that weighs 5 tons to move, you put it in certain parts of his body and in one minute the guy will know," prosecutors said Epstein told two undercover FBI agents posing as a brother and sister trying to force the sister's husband to grant the ritual Jewish divorce known as a "get." Prosecutors say he was recorded telling the agents the effort would cost at least $50,000.

The kidnap team brought surgical blades, a screwdriver and rope to a staged kidnapping in 2013, according to the indictment. Epstein, who was indicted last May along with his son and three other Orthodox rabbis, told the undercover agents he arranged similar kidnappings every year or year and a half, the indictment said.

Several co-defendants have pleaded guilty in the case and others will go on trial with Epstein.

Defense lawyer Robert Stahl disputed the charges and called Epstein a "champion of women's rights." Epstein wrote the 1989 book "A Woman's Guide to the Get Process."

"I think that a lot of information will come out about the supposed victims, and the evidence will not be there that he was involved in certain incidents," Stahl said last week. "Much more will come to light once the trial gets underway."  Hard to believe.       Just a thought.

Ditched...

The cartoonist'Â’s homepage, knoxnews.com/opinion/charlie-daniel

President-elect Donald Trump has ditched his press pool once again — this time traveling to play golf at his club in Jupiter, Florida, without a pool of journalists on hand to ensure the public has knowledge of his whereabouts.
A club member posted a photo on Twitter of Trump on the greens Saturday morning and said the president-elect was accompanied by about 25 U.S. Secret Service agents. Reporters had not been advised of the visit.
Transition aide Stephanie Grisham confirmed that Trump had made a "last minute trip" to Trump National Golf Club Jupiter, which is about a half-hour drive from the Mar-a-Lago estate, where Trump has been spending the holidays. Who is the Star here?   Just a thought.

Laurent Ponsot, the proprietor of Domaine Ponsot, took a seat at one of the restaurant’s tables. He had traveled to New York to prevent the sale of all 97 Ponsot bottles on offer that night because he believed most of them were counterfeits.

The consignment included one bottle of 1929 Ponsot Clos de la Roche, a grand cru (Burgundy’s highest designation) that the domaine did not produce under its own label until 1934. There were also 38 bottles of another Ponsot grand cru, Clos Saint-Denis, from the years 1945 through 1971. But the winery had not started making Clos Saint-Denis until the 1980s. Something was very wrong.

But just before the moment arrived, it was announced to the audience that all of the Ponsot bottles had been withdrawn.

Kurniawan [The seller] was arrested by F.B.I.  and charged with multiple counts of wire and mail fraud, notably in connection with the attempted sale of the bogus Ponsots.

When agents entered Kurniawan’s house, they discovered a counterfeiting factory, with scores of bottles being converted to knockoffs and thousands of fake labels for the most prestigious wines from Burgundy and Bordeaux. It appears now that Kurniawan may have sold millions of dollars’ worth of counterfeit wines and scammed some of the world’s biggest collectors. He was convicted, sentenced to 10 years in jail. To be deported after as he was illegal in USA.

In 2005, a former basketball star who met Cosby alleged that he had drugged her to a state of semi-consciousness and then groped and digitally penetrated her.

A California lawyer appeared on the Today show and said that, 30 years earlier, Cosby had drugged and assaulted her as well.    Eventually, 12 Jane Does signed up to tell their own stories.  But they were met, mostly, with skepticism, threats, and attacks on their character.

The group, at present. ranges in age from early 20s to 80 and includes supermodels, waitresses,  Playboy bunnies, journalists, and a host of women who formerly worked in show business.

Cosby has never been charged in any criminal case regarding any of these accusations until yesterday, and have repeatedly denied it all.

Comment: The outcome is nothing but more depressing to women who were wronged. It will bring back ten folds of the original hurt. There are Media, Commentators, Opinions, Lawyers, Stories, Thrillers, Money, Innocence, Old memories, he said she said, the time like,  the visit to Cosby's place for....

It just going to be terrible and many will be disappointed.               Just a thought.
