The U.S. Senate subsequently voted against a resolution aimed at preventing the U.S. military from continuing strikes in the Caribbean without congressional approval.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis issued a warning to New York amid the rise of Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani, saying he believes the candidate’s election could lead to more "turmoil."
"This guy makes de Blasio look like Ronald Reagan," DeSantis said Wednesday on "Fox & Friends," referring to former Democratic New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio
DeSantis argued that Mamdani’s "far-left" policy positions could drive more residents and businesses out of New York and into Florida.
A new study from the nonpartisan Citizens Budget Commission found that more than 150,000 New Yorkers moved to Florida between 2018 and 2022, while only about 50,000 relocated in the opposite direction
Mamdani, a state assemblyman from Queens, has campaigned on reducing police funding, increasing taxes on wealthy individuals and corporations and making the city more affordable.

Investigate..
Letitia James said she would "chase Trump," vowing to investigate his business dealings as a campaign promise, as she said on the 2018 campaign trail.
After being elected, she followed through with the investigation, leading to a civil suit against him and his company for fraud.
The phrase is part of a broader pattern of her publicly stating her intention to hold him accountable for his actions, both before and after taking office.
A federal grand jury indicted her on two felony counts: bank fraud and making false statements to a financial institution.
Just a thought.

Historic Dawn .
After the ceremony, President al-Sisi awarded Trump the Order of the Nile, a necklace made of pure gold considered to be Egypt's highest honors.
The Egyptian president called the day a "historic milestone that ends an agonizing chapter".
Among the many world leaders at the summit who stood for a photo opportunity with Trump was Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who less than a week ago was blocked by the US from attending the UN General Assembly in New York.
Although the first phase of the ceasefire agreement has been enacted, there is a lingering question over what role the Palestinian Authority might eventually play in Gaza.
Trump said the second phase of negotiations on a peace agreement were under way.
During his address to the Knesset, the American president suggested the region was experiencing "the historic dawn of a new Middle East".

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted to declare a state of emergency because of the illegal immigration enforcement measures ordered by President Donald Trump.
Comment:
Timing..
- Your metabolism slows down at night, and eating late may cause the body to store extra calories as fat instead of using them for energy.
- Late-night eating is associated with a higher risk of type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and cardiovascular disease.
- Some studies show that regularly eating dinner after 9 p.m. can increase the risk of stroke.
- Eating close to bedtime can disrupt sleep, particularly with heavy, spicy, or fatty foods that may trigger acid reflux or a feeling of heaviness.
- Try to avoid eating large meals within three hours of your typical bedtime if possible.
- If you must eat late, opt for smaller, more nutritious snacks like yogurt with fruit, vegetables, or a small amount of nuts instead of high-calorie, high-sugar foods.

Oh Canada..
Canada’s immigration system is being examined after reports showed that more than 47,000 international students are currently unaccounted for. This situation has raised concerns about visa compliance and the effectiveness of enforcement.
The issue comes as the Temporary Foreign Worker Program faces criticism, putting more pressure on policymakers. Some provinces have voiced concerns about federal immigration policies, and experts are asking for reforms to address these issues.
Comment:
Is Canada following the US policies of controlling their Visas better?
Noble..
Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009 for his "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples".
Owens .
Australia’s highest court on Wednesday rejected U.S. conservative commentator Candace Owens ’ bid to overturn an Australian government decision barring her from visiting the country.
Owens had planned to begin a speaking tour in Australia last November and also visit neighboring New Zealand.
Burke used his powers under the Migration Act last October to refuse her a visa because she failed the so-called “character test,” court documents said.
Burke found there was a risk Owens would “incite discord in the Australian community” and that refusing her a visa was in the national interest. As a political commentator, author and activist, Owens was “known for her controversial and conspiratorial views.”
She had made “extremist and inflammatory comments toward Muslim, Black, Jewish and LGBTQIA+ communities which generate controversy and hatred,” Burke said in court documents.

Animal Fat..
- Cancer cells can use fats for energy to grow and proliferate.
- Dietary fats can help cancer cells to spread by enabling them to move, penetrate surrounding tissue, and form new tumors.
- A high-fat diet can make cancer cells more aggressive and more likely to metastasize.
- Metabolites from animal fats can impair the function of immune cells, such as T cells, making it harder for the immune system to kill cancer cells.
- Fat cells can create a microenvironment that promotes resistance to chemotherapy and radiation.
- Not all fats are equal:Some research suggests that animal fats, particularly saturated fats, may be more harmful than plant-based fats.
- Obesity is a risk factor for many cancers, and a high-fat diet is a contributor to obesity. Check with your Doctor and Nutritionist.

Brain..
The neuroscience of exercise shows that physical activity significantly benefits the brain by promoting neurogenesis (new neuron growth), increasing brain plasticity, and enhancing blood flow.
Exercise stimulates the release of neurotransmitters like endorphins, dopamine, and norepinephrine, which improve mood and cognitive function, and it strengthens brain regions like the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex that are vital for memory, learning, and stress management.
- Exercise, especially aerobic activity, promotes the birth of new neurons in the hippocampus, which is crucial for memory and learning.
- Regular physical activity strengthens existing neural connections and promotes the growth of new ones, improving the brain's ability to adapt and recover.
- Exercise promotes angiogenesis, which is the growth of new blood vessels in the brain, leading to better circulation and delivery of oxygen and nutrients.
- Exercise enhances areas like the prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for attention, focus, and decision-making.
- Physical activity triggers the release of key mood-regulating and alertness-enhancing chemicals, including endorphins, dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine.
- Consistent exercise can increase the volume of the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex, which are vulnerable to decline with age or neurodegenerative diseases.
