Data Mining...

A second former aide to Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo is accusing him of sexual harassment, saying that he asked her questions about her sex life, whether she was monogamous in her relationships and if she had ever had sex with older men.

The aide, Charlotte Bennett, who was an executive assistant and health policy adviser in the Cuomo administration until she left in November, told The New York Times that the governor had harassed her late last spring, during the height of the state’s fight against the coronavirus.

Ms. Bennett, 25, said the most unsettling episode occurred on June 5, when she was alone with Mr. Cuomo in his State Capitol office. In a series of interviews this week, she said the governor had asked her numerous questions about her personal life, including whether she thought age made a difference in romantic relationships, and had said that he was open to relationships with women in their 20s — comments she interpreted as clear overtures to a sexual relationship.

I think that was data mining and on the second question,  age is just a number.

Retractable...

A review of US Capitol security in the wake of the January 6 insurrection is set to recommend a series of sweeping changes next week intended to better protect lawmakers while they are in Washington, DC, and at home, according to two sources with direct knowledge of the findings.

Both sources told CNN that a draft of the proposal recommends adding more than 1,000 US Capitol police officers, establishing a dedicated quick reaction force and building an integrated system of walls and fences around the Capitol complex.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi directed retired Lt. General Russel HonorĂ© to conduct an independent review of the security presence around the Capitol last month after the embarrassing breached of the capital in January 2021.

A new retractable immorality.  Just a thought.

Dominance...

Speaking at at the Conservative Political Act, Trump’s first major address since the end of his presidency, served as formal notice of his continued dominance over the Republican Party and a return to campaign form for the former president.

For roughly 90 minutes, Trump chastised “top establishment Republicans,” “RINO’s” and other Republicans who have criticized him. Banned from Twitter, he said Big Tech companies “should be punished with major sanctions whenever they silence conservative voices.” And in a wide-ranging critique of Biden’s first month in office.

“None of us even imagined just how bad they would be and how far left they would go,” Trump said, calling the Biden administration “anti-jobs, anti-family, anti-borders, anti-energy, anti-women and anti-science.”

“In just one short month, we have gone from ‘America First’ to ‘America Last,’” Trump said.

Mood...

We all have heard details on how exercise improves musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, metabolic and other aspects of health. What you may not know is how this happens within the brain.

Working out regularly really does change the brain biology, and it is not just “go walk and you will just feel better.” Regular exercise, especially cardio, does change the brain. Contrary to what some may think, the brain is a very plastic organ. Not only are new neuronal connections formed every day, but also new cells are generated in important areas of the brain. One key area is the hippocampus, which is involved in learning and memory and regulating negative emotions.

A molecule called brain-derived neurotrophic factor helps the brain produce neurons, or brain cells. A variety of aerobic and high-intensity interval training exercises significantly increase BDNF levels. There is evidence from animal research that these changes are at epigenetic level, which means these behaviors affect how genes are expressed, leading to changes in the neuronal connections and function.

Moderate exercise also seems to have anti-inflammatory effects, regulating the immune system and excessive inflammation. This is important, given the new insight neuroscience is gaining into the potential role of inflammation in anxiety and depression.

Finally, there is evidence for the positive effects of exercise on the neurotransmitters – brain chemicals that send signals between neurons – dopamine and endorphins. Both of these are involved in positive mood and motivation.

Accusation...

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is denying allegations from a former aide who accused him of sexual harassment, including an unwanted kiss, in a Medium post on Wednesday.

Lindsey Boylan alleged that in 2018, the Democratic governor kissed her on the lips following a one-on-one briefing in his New York City office.

"As I got up to leave and walk toward an open door, he stepped in front of me and kissed me on the lips," Boylan wrote, describing the encounter. "I was in shock, but I kept walking." Boylan first accused the governor of sexual harassment in a Twitter thread in December.

The Media currently without materials so here it is something they can bounce it back and forth. Just a thought.

Since Donald Trump left the office. the Media is looking around and finding materials everywhere. This time Governor Cuomo, can't blame the Federal Government or the president.  The Fake Media can't blame President Biden. It is a difficult choice indeed. To report or not to report.  Just a thought.

McConnell...

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said Thursday he would “absolutely” support former President Donald Trump if he won the GOP’s 2024 presidential nominee.

“Well there’s a lot to happen between now and ’24,” McConnell said in an interview with Fox News. “I’ve got at least four members that I think are planning to run for president plus some governors and others; There’s no incumbent, a wide-open race and should be fun for you all to cover.”

Iraq...

President Biden celebrates the lives of those Americans who died from Covid 19 Virus- 500.000 Americans so far.. Very sad indeed.

On the other hand, not a tear was shed on any of the 500,000  Iraqi's death as a result of the US invasion of Iraq, nor those who are injured.

We can put that into the context of the U.S. population, which was more than 10 times as large at the outset of the Iraq war.

  • 2004: 4.5 out of every 10,000 Iraqis killed. Equivalent to 130,000 American deaths — the population of McKinney, Tex., in 2010.
  • 2005: 6.1 out of every 10,000 Iraqis killed. Equivalent to 181,000 American deaths — like eliminating Tallahassee.
  • 2006: 10.7 out of every 10,000 Iraqis. Equivalent to 318,000 American deaths — the population of St. Louis.
  • 2007: 9.2 out of every 10,000 Iraqis. Equivalent to 277,000 American deaths — the population of Newark.

We bolded the key phrase: About 400,000 deaths were probably attributable to the conflict from 2003 to 2011, about 240,000 of them a result of violence and 160,000 from war-related causes. The 240,000-death estimate caused by the conflict is about twice the IBC estimate. (That study also estimated an additional 55,000 deaths among Iraqis who fled the country during the conflict.)

That takes us only to 2011. In the seven years since, IBC estimates, there were 82,000 additional deaths resulting from the conflict in Iraq — just among civilians.

It seems likely that the death toll in the past 15 years easily exceeded half a million Iraqis, but how much higher is hard to determine.

The United States launched airstrikes in Syria on Thursday, targeting facilities near the Iraqi border used by Iranian-backed militia groups. The Pentagon said the strikes were retaliation for a rocket attack in Iraq earlier this month that killed one civilian contractor and wounded a U.S. service member and other coalition troops.

We said a number of times that we will respond on our timeline,” Austin said. "We wanted to be sure of the connectivity and we wanted to be sure that we had the right targets.”

Earlier, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said the U.S. action was a “proportionate military response” taken together with diplomatic measures, including consultation with coalition partners.

Mr. Biden can't resist invading another country to bomb a target.

S. B-1B Lancers arrived in Norway on Monday to take part in a "long-planned training mission" and marked the first time these bombers operated out of the European country, a statement from the U.S. Air Force said.

"Training with allies like Norway enables us to hone our deterrence and defense capabilities while also enhancing regional stability," Gen. Jeff Harrigian, the U.S. Air Forces in Europe-Air Forces Africa commander said, according to the statement.

The planes flew from Dyess Air Force Base in Texas and arrived at Ă˜rland Air Station, which is in the central part of the country. The move has been seen by some military experts as a clear message to Moscow.

That is back into threatening other countries by military might.  Same old, same old.

Wolf...

America is becoming a "totalitarian state before our eyes" under President Biden's leadership, feminist author and former Democratic adviser Naomi Wolf told "Tucker Carlson Tonight" Monday.

Wolf, who served as an adviser on Bill Clinton's reelection campaign in 1996, told host Tucker Carlson that in her view, the United States is swiftly "moving into a coup situation, a police state" as a result of Biden's ongoing coronavirus-related economic shutdowns. Wolf added that she believes the orders are being improperly extended under the "guise of a real medical pandemic."

"That is not a partisan thing," Wolf told Carlson. "That transcends everything that you and I might disagree or agree on. That should bring together left and right to protect our Constitution."

The Man...

Senator Mitt Romney of Utah said on Tuesday that he believed Donald J. Trump would win the Republican nomination for president if he ran for his former office in 2024, another indication of Mr. Trump’s perceived strength in the party.

Mr. Romney noted that “a lot can happen between now and 2024,” but he added, “I look at the polls, and the polls show that among the names being floated as potential contenders in 2024, if you put President Trump in there among Republicans, he wins in a landslide.”

Mr. Romney, the Republican presidential nominee in 2012, is the sole Republican senator who voted to convict Mr. Trump at both of his impeachment trials. He lost the respect of his party altogether.

Mr. Romney’s comments were a clear sign of Mr. Trump’s enduring position in the Republican Party.

“He has by far the largest voice and a big impact in my party,” Mr. Romney said.

Age

According to Japanese daily Nippon Times, the average life expectancy in Japan in 2019 was 87.45 years for women and 81.41 years for men.

The latest World Health Organization report in 2019 put Japan’s average life expectancy at birth at 83.7 years (86.8 years for women and 80.5 years for men).

The secret of long life in Japan is often considered as the combination of diet, policy, exercise, cultural factors and genetics - with no single cause running away with the credits.

Eat only until you are 80 per cent (8 out of 10 parts) full.

The Japanese serve smaller portions and encourage slower eating style.

Officials have developed a network of more than 100 walking routes to encourage people to exercise. Community groups and neighborhood associations organize communal walks not difficult in group-oriented Japan.

So start early. Just a thought.

Did it...

The United States reached a staggering milestone on Monday, surpassing 500,000 known coronavirus-related deaths in a pandemic that has lasted almost a year. The nation’s total virus toll is higher than in any other country in the world. It has far surpassed early predictions of loss by some federal experts. And it means that more Americans have died from Covid-19 than did on the battlefields of World War I, World War II and the Vietnam War combined.

In the early days of the pandemic, Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, the top infectious-disease expert in the country, and Dr. Deborah L. Birx, who was coordinating the coronavirus response at the time, projected last March that even with strict stay-at-home orders, the virus might kill as many as 240,000 Americans, a number that seemed unimaginable at the time.

What are the scientists saying and what is the Biden's plan other than Trump did it?

Long Covid...

Just a little more than a year into the pandemic, it's not clear how many Covid-19 patients go on to develop what's called long-term Covid, or long Covid. A recent study that included mostly people who had just mild cases found 30% were reporting symptoms as long as nine months after contracting the virus. Other studies have found a higher percentage.

The more than 100 symptoms reported by patients include fatigue, headaches, brain fog and memory loss, gastrointestinal problems, muscle aches and heart palpitations. Some have even developed diabetes.

The most common signs and symptoms that linger over time include:

  • Fatigue
  • Shortness of breath
  • Cough
  • Joint pain
  • Chest pain

Other long-term signs and symptoms may include:

  • Muscle pain or headache
  • Fast or pounding heartbeat
  • Loss of smell or taste
  • Memory, concentration or sleep problems
  • Rash or hair loss.
So good luck with those who had the disease. Just a thought.

Move...

Singer Stevie Wonder is moving to Ghana.

The iconic, award-winning performer spoke to Oprah Winfrey in an interview explaining his decision, citing the political turmoil in the United States.

"I wanna see this nation smile again. And I want to see it before I leave to travel to move to Ghana because I'm going to do that.

Winfrey asked, "You're going to permanently move to Ghana?"

"I am," replied the singer." I don't want to see my children's children's children have to say, 'Oh please like me. Please respect me, please know that I am important, please value me.' What is that?"

This isn't the first time he has said he was considering moving to Ghana. In 1994, he said he felt there was "more of a sense of community" than in the US.

This has nothing to do with the presidency, or may be. Just a thought.

Genius...

Moderna said Monday it received "positive feedback" from the Food and Drug Administration on its proposal to increase the number of Covid-19 vaccine doses in each of its vials.

One vial of Moderna's two-shot vaccine contains ten doses, enough to inoculate five people, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. CNBC reported last month that Moderna had asked the FDA for permission to fill its Covid-19 vaccine vials with up to five additional doses to ease a bottleneck in manufacturing.

Of course the price will go up, and so is the delivery. Just a thought.

Empty...

Image result for empty calorie foods

Chaotic action is preferable to orderly inaction.

Empty Calorie Foods
Most empty-calorie foods are highly processed that contain added fat and sugar. [Cakes, cookies, pies, pastries, puddings, doughnuts, fries, jams, syrups, jelly, sweetened fruit drinks, breaded fried burgers and ice cream.]

If not used for physical activity, the extra calories are stored in the body as fat, and over time, result in weight gain and obesity.

Nutrient Dense Foods
Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low-fat or fat-free milk and dairy products, nuts, beans, seeds, turkey, chicken, fish and lean cuts of meats. These foods provide fewer calories but are excellent sources of nutrients.

Gradually increase one and decrease the other until you reach a balanced level. This would lead to decrease, increase or maintain your weight depending on your Body Mass Index.

Highway Robbery...

Tolls on the MTA’s seven bridges and two tunnels are set to go up April 1, with the agency’s board unanimously approving an increase on Thursday.

Current toll rates will increase an average of 7.08 percent, the MTA said.

Tolls will increase from $6.12 to $6.55 for E-ZPass users on six crossings: the Bronx-Whitestone, Triboro, Throgs Necks and Verrazzano bridges and the Brooklyn-Battery and Queens-Midtown tunnels. Drivers without E-ZPass will be charged $10.17, up from $9.50 today.

On Upper Manhattan’s Henry Hudson Bridge, tolls will increase by 20 cents for E-ZPass users and 50 cents for everyone else. The Cross Bay and Marine Parkway bridges in Queens, meanwhile, will see tolls spiked from $2.29 for E-ZPass and $4.75 for everyone else to $2.45 and $5.09, respectively.

MTA officials opted to retain a discount for Queens residents for those two bridges, as well as the Verrazzano Bridge’s Staten Island rebate — which will now apply to all borough residents regardless of how many trips per month they take across the bridge.

At the same time, the MTA has created a middle-tier for toll collection: E-ZPass users whose devices are not affixed properly will be charged a “special rate” in between the regular and E-ZPass rates.

Democrats can't find a way to collect the last dollar in your pocket. By the time you pay the gas, car repair, Insurance, tunnells, and congestion pricing, you will be free from your money. Just a thought.

Second Term...

President Joe Biden said Friday that the U.S. and its international partners must hold China to account for its economic practices.

"We have to push back against the Chinese government's abuses and coercion that undercut the foundations of the international economic system," Biden said in a speech to the Munich Security Conference, delivered virtually from the White House.

The Trump administration sought to reshape the U.S.-China trade relationship, placing a key focus on boosting Beijing's purchase of U.S. goods while addressing issues including intellectual property protections and forced technology transfers.

After striking the first "phase" of a deal, Trump in 2020 canceled an additional round of trade talks with China, on which he has placed full blame for the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

Is Biden doing Trump's second term?... Just a thought.

Black Lives Matter march through Midtown Manhattan turned violent Friday night, with 11 protesters arrested...

The NYPD reported that two officers suffered minor injuries during the protest, which was attended by about 100 marchers.

The photog was surrounded and struck after one of the marchers recognized him from a BLM protest outside the NYPD’s 6th Precinct house in Greenwich Village last year, according to sources.

The agitated protester began yelling, "He’s a cop," inciting many of his fellow marchers.

About a dozen people surrounded the photog, shoving him and beating him with their fists and other objects, sources said.

Bloodthirsty...

Michael van der Veen, a lawyer who represented former President Trump in his second impeachment trial, ranted against the media in a CBS News interview after Trump was acquitted.

Van der Veen  accused prosecutors of doctoring evidence in the impeachment over the January 6 Capitol riot. "Because they hadn't done any investigation, they doctored evidence. It's absolutely shocking," he said.

Interviewer Lana Zak tried to clarify Van der Veen's comments, asking if he was referring to "selective editing" of footage from the riot and a tweet Trump's team claimed was shown during the trial that was allegedly labeled with the wrong year.  "Is that the doctored evidence of which you're speaking?" Zak asked.

But Van der Veen then began ranting about the media more generally. "The media is trying to divide this country," he said. "You are bloodthirsty for ratings," he continued, calling the questions a "set up" with "slanted coverage." He removed his microphone and walked off camera.

Compare the Media treatment of Van der with the treatment Avenati, Stormy Daniel's lawyer got... Fair and sub-balanced. Just a thought.

Steamy...

The taxpayers weren’t the only ones getting screwed.

A Metro-North worker resigned last month after the MTA’s watchdog caught him having sex with a woman at a railyard  while collecting overtime pay, according to a new report.

Investigators from the office of MTA Inspector General Carolyn Pokorny observed the machinist, a 25-year veteran, bring an unauthorized woman onto the grounds of the Croton-Harmon property three times last spring  including at least one time that got steamy, according to the report, set to be publicized later.

On May 16, OIG gumshoes observed the man and woman neither of whom is identified by name in the report “kiss and have intimate contact” in a railroad storage yard “behind the open door” of the woman’s Nissan Pathfinder, according to the document.

For his good deed he was paid overtime. MTA at its best. Just a thought.

Boo hoo

The lead impeachment manager, Jamie Raskin, said the Democrats’ case appeared nevertheless to convince even Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Trump’s guilt in inciting the Capitol riot.

Two days after Trump escaped conviction, and as his supporters reveled in the prospect of his return to frontline politics, Raskin also told the Washington Post it was both “good and terrible to watch” McConnell’s post-verdict speech in which he voted to acquit because the trial was unconstitutional.

It was telling, Raskin said, that many of the 43 Republicans who voted to acquit “felt the need to hang their hats” on that argument, which was rejected by constitutional scholars and twice by the Senate itself.

The second impeachment was to tell the Republican parties that the Democrates are in charge, doing whatever.... The Republicans answered.

Implode...

The Lincoln Project, the anti-Donald Trump political outfit, imploded Friday evening amid mounting criticism of its handling of sexual misconduct allegations against one of its co-founders and of the management of its finances.

Steve Schmidt, a prominent political strategist and one of the original co-founders of the organisation, on Friday evening became the latest in a string of departures from the group. In a lengthy statement, Schmidt said he was “incandescently angry” about allegations that former Lincoln Project leader John Weaver sent sexually explicit text messages to young men.

As he has done previously, Schmidt again insisted he only learned in January of the allegations against Weaver a married father of two who has been accused of sending sexually aggressive messages to younger men and one minor, offering to trade sex for professional favors.
