Intense..

The U.S.-led campaign against the Houthi rebels, overshadowed by the Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip, has turned into the most intense running sea battle the Navy has faced since World War II, its leaders and experts told The Associated Press.

The combat pits the Navy's mission to keep international waterways open against a group whose former arsenal of assault rifles and pickup trucks has grown into a seemingly inexhaustible supply of drones, missiles and other weaponry.

Near-daily attacks by the Houthis since November have seen more than 50 vessels clearly targeted, while shipping volume has dropped in the vital Red Sea corridor that leads to the Suez Canal and into the Mediterranean.

 Comment:

So whatever the US campaign against the Houthis is a high cost and is not working    Can we use a different methodology.   Just a thought.

Crisis..

Threat..

A federal judge in Louisiana has blocked the Biden administration's Title IX overhaul for four states, calling the rewrite a "threat to democracy" and an "abuse of power."
U.S. District Court Judge Terry Doughty issued a preliminary injunction Thursday to the Biden administration's new Title IX rules, which changed the definition of sex to include "gender identity," which many critics argue will result in the shuttering of sex-specific spaces such as restrooms in schools.

Train..

Ukrainian President expressed confidence during a joint press conference with President Joe Biden on Thursday that the United States would continue to support his country’s defensive war against Russia even if Donald Trump retakes the White House.

A number of leaders here in Italy, including President Biden, are facing upcoming election challenges,” noted a reporter before asking Zelensky , “How will the security agreement signed tonight and the other promises of support continue if they are not in office? And what’s your contingency plan if they don’t.

Comment:
The Gravy train may not last. If Trump wins, the desire for peace will appear again. The support for war, and the sanctions on Russia which recked havoc on the prices worldwide and the uncontrolled inflation in the west will change dramatically.

Just a "Hopeful" thought.

Not Age..

The Media continue to refer to president Biden issue as Age. They are limiting the issues here this way.
Age is becoming a major problem now with President Biden.  Imagine four more years. But the real issue here is what he did or didn't do to the people and the country in his "Day One" in the office, followed by day two and three. Immigration, South border, Inflation, the Country Debt, dealing with and referring to other leaders as dictator.

Many strange statements issued by this president that had to be explained, adjusted, canceled by his surroundings or staff.

So it is much more than age.

Climate..

What is/are the reason of all these neo movements in the Western world, the Free World, the G 7, and the Western Democracy as always prescribed?

Could that be the Ukraine war support that the regulardon't agree with it and its results. Could it be the  US Sanctions on Russia that the west or the allies are forced to it and their inflation hit 20% on the average Joe?  UK, France, Germany and the USA are all among others in a tornado of some sort.

Just a thought.

Congestion..

More than 200 Port Authority Police Department cops racked up six figures in overtime payments in 2023 — including one officer who pulled down over $400,000 in total pay, according to the agency’s latest available payroll records.

The surging compensation for the bi-state agency’s employees could ultimately drive up tolls for motorists, experts who crunched the agency’s eye-popping payroll warned.

“If this trend continues, especially with overtime, it will translate into higher costs, including higher tunnel and bridge tolls,” Ken Girardin, research director at Empire Center for Public Policy, told The The Post.
