Shame..

The United States on Friday vetoed a United Nations Security Council demand for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in the war between Israel and Palestinian militant group Hamas in Gaza, diplomatically isolating Washington as it shields its ally.
Thirteen members voted in favor of a brief draft resolution, put forward by the United Arab Emirates, while Britain abstained. The vote came after U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres made a rare move on Wednesday to formally warn the 15-member council of a global threat from the two-month long war.
Humanity at worst. Just a thought...

Deafness..

Schumer, the highest-ranking Jewish elected official in U.S. history, in a 45-minute speech laid out how Jews have felt isolated in the last month, called out recent examples of antisemitism in the U.S., and spoke about how trauma Jews have experienced for millennia is affecting how they feel today.

Democratic senators have increasingly called for the White House to pressure Israel to change its tactics to minimize civilian harm in the war.
That fell on deaf ears.
Schumer is guiding the Senate as lawmakers weigh the White House’s request for military aid of $14.5 billion for Israel.

UN..

The UN Security Council is expected to meet on Friday to discuss the war in Gaza after Secretary-General António Guterres in a rare move formally urged the 15-member council to "use all of its influence" to prevent "a humanitarian catastrophe" in the enclave.

The big picture: It is the first time Guterres has invoked Article 99 of the UN Charter since being appointed secretary-general in 2017. The rule allows the UN leader to bring any matter he believes threatens "international peace and security" to the Security Council. Guterres on Wednesday repeated his call for a "humanitarian ceasefire."

Wonder why??????????
