Shift..

In mid August, India made its first crude oil payment to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Indian rupees, marking a significant shift away from the dominance of the U.S. dollar in international trade. This move comes as part of a broader trend where a growing coalition of nations is seeking to conduct global trade in their local currencies.

This groundbreaking transaction follows a recent deal involving the sale of 25 kilograms of gold (55 lbs) from a UAE gold exporter to an Indian buyer, amounting to approximately 128.4 million rupees ($1.54 million).

Does this lead to decrease demand of the Dollar and thus it's value?

Exceed..

A federal judge in Texas rejected the Biden administration’s latest effort to save a program that has shielded hundreds of thousands of undocumented young adults from deportation, saying that it remained unlawful even after recent changes.

The judge, Andrew S. Hanen of the Federal District Court in Houston, maintained that President Barack Obama exceeded his authority when he created the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA, by executive action in 2012.

The decision is the latest twist in a five-year-long court saga that has left the program and its beneficiaries, known as Dreamers, hanging in the balance. While the ruling is a blow to the immigrants.

The Biden Administration just doing things that is rejected by the higher courts time and time again. Seems they don't employ lawyers in the White House.  Just a thought.

Geee..

The G 20 ignore what the G7 supported regarding the Russia/Ukraine war, sanctions and the many attempts to isolate Russia from the world stage. Is there something the G20 agree with the G7, like Nato expansion against Russia????

Is there any benefits of the US Sanctions on Russian oil and oil prices?  Just a thought.

Tilting..

The BRICS summit ended on a positive note last month as the alliance took a historic decision to induct six new countries into the bloc. The six countries that will join BRICS are Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Argentina, Iran, Egypt, and Ethiopia. Five countries, except for Argentina, are oil-producing nations that control 42% of the global oil supply. Therefore, the BRICS expansion has ruffled feathers in the U.S. and the European Union, as the alliance is seen as a threat to the Western-dominated financial markets.

Reinhard Butikofer, the European Union minister from Germany, minced no words by saying that BRICS is establishing itself on matters of global importance. He stressed that all differences between the 11 member nations would be ironed out over time and that they would remain united. He warned that China’s influence will grow across all financial sectors, posing a significant challenge to the EU.

Europe is getting all the disadvantage of supporting US's sanctions in the long conflict of Russia/Ukraine, US containment of China, and the expansion of the economics of the BRICS.  Just a thought.

Destroy..

In a sharp escalation over the migrant crisis, Mayor Eric Adams claimed in stark terms that New York City was being destroyed by an influx of 110,000 asylum seekers from the southern border and said that he did not see a way to fix the issue.

“Let me tell you something New Yorkers, never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to — I don’t see an ending to this,” the mayor said in his opening remarks at a town hall-style gathering in Manhattan. “This issue will destroy New York City.”

Death..

Last..

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) is knocking New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) for his recent complaints over the influx of migrants in the city, claiming he “could not last a week in Texas.”
Asked on Fox News’s “Jesse Watters Primetime” about Adams recently calling the Texas governor a “madman” for busing migrants to New York, Abbott said, “When I first heard that, I thought about Frank Sinatra singing ‘New York, New York,’ when he’s saying, ‘If I can make it here, I can make it anywhere.’”
“Well, the mayor may have made it to be mayor of New York, but he could not last a week in Texas,” he continued. “They have so few migrants in New York compared to what we deal with every single day.”
Adams has repeatedly called for more state and federal help to address New York City’s migrant crisis, which he claimed last week “will destroy” the city. His office said last week that more than 110,000 asylum-seekers have arrived in the city since spring 2022.

The Split..

President Joe Biden failed at a weekend summit in India to unite world leaders around a condemnation of Russia's war in Ukraine, drawing a rebuke from Kyiv and putting him on the defensive as he wrapped up a trip abroad.

Neither Russian President Vladimir Putin nor Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the New Delhi gathering for leaders of the world's most powerful economies, but even in their absence, Russia and China notched a win against the U.S. when it came to rallying the international community against the war that began more than a year and a half ago.

After the New Delhi summit, Biden traveled to Hanoi in a visit aimed at strengthening ties with Vietnam.

So the G20 are looking forward to economics rather than ...war and containment.

 Just a thought.
