The foreign ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia have met in Tehran as the longtime rivals seek to end a diplomatic rift and restore ties after seven years of tensions.
here is peace between these two countries that will have great impact on the region.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian welcomed his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, at the foreign ministry on Saturday.
Saudi Arabia’s top diplomat also met Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, who has just finished a tour of Latin America.
On August 2022 Biden's State Department approved $3 billion sale of Patriot missiles to Saudi Arabia and $2.2 billion to the United Arab Emirates despite pledging in 2019 campaign to make Saudi Arabia a pariah.

Debt..

Two thinks politicians enjoy in the society,  Debt from spending and Debt from War anywhere for any reason.  Just a thought.

May Be..

2023 will go down in the history books as the year America lost faith in its banks.

Over the course of a few weeks in the spring of 2023, multiple high-profile regional banks suddenly collapsed: Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), Signature Bank, and First Republic Bank. These banks weren’t limited to one geographic area, and there wasn’t one single reason behind their failures. [cost of 400 billion dollars.]

The news roiled the financial markets, pummeled the banking industry, and unsettled the public. Fears mounted that financial contagion was underway, which happens when a problem in one sector spreads to other areas of an economy, country, or region—with disastrous consequences.

The U.S., Japan and the Philippines plan to coordinate security strategies in the East China Sea and South China Sea and discuss opportunities to stage regular joint exercises under plans announced Friday, aiming to bolster deterrence against potential Chinese aggression in the region.

The joint exercises would be held in Indo-Pacific waters "in support of freedom of navigation, and the broader rules-based order," a readout said.

Japan affirmed that it will support enhancing the military capabilities of the Philippines and others through official security assistance (OSA) -- a new aid framework launched in April for providing defense equipment.

Are we starting another conflict somewhere?

Dethrone..

The U.S. dollar saw an 8% decline in its share of global reserves in 2022 — causing some to question whether the dollar’s days of dominance are over.
Treasury Secretary Jannet Yellen gave her two cents on the matter of so-called “de-dollarization” during a congressional hearing on Tuesday — stating that no currency currently exists that could displace the greenback.
While U.S. sanctions and foreign policy plays have inspired a backlash from China, Russia and other prominent countries — who are keen to dethrone the dollar — Yellen remains adamant that “it will not be easy for any country to devise a way to get around the dollar.”
She did, however, warn that the dollar’s share of global reserves may continue to decline as countries look to “diversify.”

Sanctuary.

Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott announced Wednesday that he sent a first group of migrants to downtown Los Angeles.
Forty-two people, including children, were dropped off at Los Angeles Union Station around 4 p.m. and cared for by city agencies and charitable organizations, Los Angeles City agencies.
California had declared itself a "sanctuary" for immigrants, extending protections to people living in the country illegally and allowing them to apply for some state benefits.
"Texas' small border towns remain overwhelmed and overrun by the thousands of people illegally crossing into Texas from Mexico.

Market..

The Biden Administration is set to extent current restrictions on chipmakers looking to expand and maintain business in China. That means the chip giants TSMC and Samsung will be given free reign to improve fab capacity without the US government jumping on their case.
Semiconductor manufacturing has been a bit of a hellscape of late, with the US threatening a ten year ban to any company receiving funding as part of the CHIPS and Science act.
Along with recent US export-control policy restrictions, things have been difficult. Now, according to the Wall Street Journal, the Biden Admin plans to extend exemptions from the US export-control policy currently restricting chip trade between the US and China.
Free market at its best.!!!!!!!?? Just a thought.

Former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio was ordered to pay a $155,000 fine and repay more than $319,000 to the city for his use of the New York City Police Department during his 2020 presidential campaign, according to a new filing from the City Of New York Conflicts of Interest Board (COIB).
According to the COIB document, the board found de Blasio — who served as the NYC mayor during his run for the White House — used Tax Payer funds to pay the travel expenses for an NYPD security detail on 31 out-of-state trips connected to his presidential campaign.
Once you get elected, your rights are exercised and got four years to do whatever ... They own the place.
