Leak..

Plane..

Francis Gary Powers strapped into a U-2 and took off from a secret base in Pakistan on May 1, 1960. Powers, in 1956 enlisted by the CIA as a spy plane pilot.

He was the most experienced. In his pocket, he carried a silver dollar that concealed a needle dipped in poison. If captured and subjected to torture, he could take his own life.

The U.S. government issued a cover statement indicating that a weather plane had veered off course and supposedly crashed somewhere in the Soviet Union.

With no small degree of pleasure, Khrushchev pulled off one of the most dramatic moments of the Cold War by producing not only the mostly-intact wreckage of the U-2, but also the captured pilot-very much alive.

A chagrined President Eisenhower had to publicly admit that it was indeed a U.S. spy plane.

Weather Plane or Weather Balloons. Just a thought.

Aramco..

Global oil giant Saudi Aramco announced Sunday it earned a record-high profit of $161.1 billion during 2022, attributing its massive jump in earrings to higher crude oil prices.

Officially known as the Saudi Arabian Oil Co., Aramco's annual report showed its year-on-year net income increased 46.5.% from the $110 billion earned in 2021.
Saudi Aramco CEO and President Amin H.
Nasser said in a statement that the record financial performance was due to increased oil demand around the world.

Released..

The following statement was released by Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen, Federal Reserve Board Chair Jerome H. Powell, and FDIC Chairman Martin J. Gruenberg:

Today we are taking decisive actions to protect the U.S. economy by strengthening public confidence in our banking system. This step will ensure that the U.S. banking system continues to perform its vital roles of protecting deposits and providing access to credit to households and businesses in a manner that promotes strong and sustainable economic growth.

After receiving a recommendation from the boards of the FDIC and the Federal Reserve, and consulting with the President, Secretary Yellen approved actions enabling the FDIC to complete its resolution of Silicon Valley Bank, Santa Clara, California, in a manner that fully protects all depositors.

We are also announcing a similar systemic risk exception for Signature Bank...

Shareholders and certain unsecured debtholders will not be protected. Senior management has also been removed. Any losses to the Deposit Insurance Fund to support uninsured depositors will be recovered by a special assessment on banks, as required by law.

The West wanted Russia's economy to collapse not our banking System.

The more..

The results, from a 2022 collaboration between the University of California in and the University of British Columbia, were striking. Physical exercise, late in life, seemed to protect the ageing connections between brain cells – the synapses where memories are made.
There is a 30%-80% reduced risk of dementia in people who exercise.
One recent study of nearly 80,000 people in the UK found that the risk of dementia was halved in people who reached the goal of 10,000 steps a day.
Part of the observed benefit could be down to people with healthier brains simply exercising more
While there are definite benefits to be had from exercise – greater blood flow to the brain, better cardiovascular health, lower blood pressure, less obesity and diabetes there is still plenty to nail down. Just a thought.
