Sussman..

Delay..

Biden administration is seeking a 45-day delay in a court proceeding in which it has been asked by a US judge whether it believes Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman should be granted sovereign immunity in a case involving the murder of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi.

Representatives from the US justice department said in a legal notice filed on Friday that the department was seeking the extension after Saudi Arabia announced in a press release last week that Prince Mohammed had been named prime minister.

Well, Justice for all...

Gimmick..

Over..

Free

President Biden, Vice President Harris, and the U.S. Department of Education have announced a three-part plan to help working and middle-class federal student loan borrowers transition back to regular payment as pandemic-related support expires. This plan includes loan forgiveness of up to $20,000.

On the other hand, the extra spending of the government causing higher prices on food and transport. Just a thought.

Gas..

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and Moscow-led allies, collectively known as OPEC+, is considering a cut of more than 1 million barrels a day, delegates in the group said.

Concerns about a slowing global economy have dragged oil prices down at their fastest pace since the Covid-19 outbreak began in early 2020, prompting OPEC+ to consider ways to prop up the price of oil.

Any move by OPEC+ to raise oil prices could put further pressure on Western consumers already hurting from high energy costs while also helping Russia—one of the biggest energy producers in the world—fill its state coffers as it wages war against Ukraine.

So Western Countries, the G7 and USA have been moving from cutting production of energy in USA to Sanctions on Russia that drove oil prices unnecessary high. That caused inflation, followed by recession, yet the Opec Plus needs their money. Just a thought.

Trickle..

Britain's new finance minister Kwasi Kwarteng unleashed historic tax cuts and huge increases in borrowing on Friday in an economic agenda that floored financial markets

Moves to subsidise energy bills will cost 60 billion pounds ($65.3 billion) just for the next six months, Kwarteng said - part of a promise to support households for two years.

Tax cuts - including an immediate reduction in a property purchase tax - would cost a further 45 billion pounds by 2026/27.

Pres. Biden tweeted *I am sick and tired of trickle-down economics. It has never worked. We're building an economy from the bottom up and middle out.

Did the US cause this energy problems world-wide and now Europe is splitting?
