Covid virus booster shots are “optimal care.”  Currently, two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech or the Moderna vaccines or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine provide full vaccination. 

It’s still too early to tell what the long-term impacts of the virus are, but early data suggests those who contract the omicron variant experience mild illness. 

Vulnerable patients who are older, unvaccinated or have underlying conditions have a much higher risk of developing severe disease, Maria Van Kerkhove, the World Health Organization’s technical lead on Covid-19, said in a press briefing.

As of Sunday, the U.S. was approaching 800,000 coronavirus-related deaths.

The new variant has pushed some government officials to reinstate health restrictions to slow the spread. On Monday, New York will implement its statewide mask mandate, which requires protective face coverings to be worn in public places and businesses, unless proof of vaccination is required.

“This variant moves fast, we have to move faster,” New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

 So move fast Mr. Mayor... Move fast out.  Just a thought.

Most of the 43 people known to have been infected with the Omicron variant of coronavirus in the United States had mild symptoms, but most had been vaccinated and 14 of them had already had booster doses, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported Friday.

The first CDC report on the Omicron variant in the US shows vaccination does not protect people against infection but it also indicates the first cases to be detected have been mild or moderate.

"One vaccinated patient was hospitalized for 2 days, and no deaths have been reported to date," the CDC Covid Response Team reported. "Case investigations have identified exposures associated with international and domestic travel, large public events, and household transmission."

So vaccinated, and or boosted, didn't help with Omicron variant. Nothing said about the mask.

Where is that politician Fauci who's singing a different tune? Hiding the big lie..... Huh?

So let us clearly get a new vaccine for those POLITICIANS to make Heros out of themselves and write [have someone write for them] books.  Just a "varient" thought.

This is a very important case and the gov. placed the finest detectives to get to the bottom of it and they did.

The truth came out, the plot was discovered, and the payment was documented.

New York City’s mayor-elect issued a stern warning Thursday night to those expecting to continue the riots and looting the nation’s largest city has seen over the past two years.

"Not my city," Eric Adams, a former police captain who was elected in November to succeed termed-out the current mayor, said at a Police Athletic League event at the Harvard Club, according to the New York Post.

"We’re not going to surrender to those who are saying ‘We’re going to burn down New York’," Adams said.

The message seemed squarely aimed at Hawk Newsome, a local leader of the Black Lives Matter movement who last month threatened "riots," "fire" and "bloodshed" if Adams tried to revive past anti-crime practices that were discarded during the de Blasio years.

Is that shaking down the elected mayor?  Just a thought.

A Justice Department's investigation of former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) includes a probe into whether his office was involved in a "pattern and practice of discrimination and retaliation" that would breach the Civil Rights Act's Title VII, The New York Times reported. 

The newspaper noted that the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice (DOJ) sent New York State Attorney Letitia James (D) a letter dated Aug. 12 in which it notified her that such a probe was being conducted.

The Justice Department "and other law enforcement or investigative entities have made inquiries and requests for information related to the CHAMBER's COVID-19 pandemic response, including relating to Nursing Homes, publication of a COVID-related book authored by then Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, and other pandemic related matters," according to the agreement.
