Antibodies...

The UK’s decision to delay second doses of coronavirus vaccines has received fresh support from research on the over-80s which found that giving the Pfizer/BioNTech booster after 12 weeks rather than three produced a much stronger antibody response.

A study led by the University of Birmingham in collaboration with Public Health England found that antibodies against the virus were three-and-a-half times higher in those who had the second shot after 12 weeks compared with those who had it after a three-week interval.

Dr Helen Parry, a senior author on the study at Birmingham, said: “We’ve shown that peak antibody responses after the second Pfizer vaccination are really strongly boosted in older people when this is delayed to 11 to 12 weeks. There is a marked difference between these two schedules in terms of antibody responses we see.”

With these major differences, the rush that we are having in USA to just jab the vaccines in any body at short interval is not the best.

Let us take a second look at the current rush and make a scientific decision regarding when, who and what. Just a thought.

A group of more than 120 retired military officers have written to President Joe Biden to tell him his election was less than legitimate – while questioning his mental acuity.

The letter echoes  claims of widespread election fraud – which have not been borne out in the courts.

The group calls itself 'Flag Officers 4 America' and consists of retired military officers including generals and admirals.

'The FBI and Supreme Court must act swiftly when election irregularities are surfaced and not ignore them as was done in 2020,' they wrote.

It echoes claims that absentee ballots are not secure as it goes after Biden, who serves as Commander in Chief of the military.

'Election integrity demands insuring there is one legal vote cast and counted per citizen. Legal votes are identified by State Legislature's approved controls using government IDs, verified signatures, etc,' they write.

'Today, many are calling such common sense [voter ID] controls “racist” in an attempt to avoid having fair and honest elections. Using racial terms to suppress proof of eligibility is itself a tyrannical intimidation tactic,' they write.

The retired officers raise doubts about Biden's mental capacity – and reference Speaker Nancy Pelosi's move to get assurances about the nuclear codes in the days after the January 6 MAGA riot.  Just a thought.

Science...

Pandemic-weary New Yorkers had their hopes deflated Thursday when Gov. Andrew Cuomo said he wasn’t ready to ease the state’s mask mandate  even though the feds gave the green light for vaccinated Americans to finally show their faces and gather indoors again.

In a late-afternoon statement, Cuomo said he and Health Commissioner Howard Zucker had yet to decide if the Empire State would adopt newly announced guidelines from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“In New York, we have always relied on the facts and the science to guide us throughout the worst of this pandemic and in our successful reopening,” Cuomo said.

“We have received the newly revised guidance from the CDC regarding mask wearing and social distancing for those with vaccinations and are reviewing them in consultation with Dr. Zucker and our partners and health experts in surrounding states.”

May be we want to milk the "Covid-19 Pandemic" till the last drop.

Gov. Cuomo listen to the science but which one? Just a thought.

Rush...

Allowing adolescents to get the shots will accelerate the nation's efforts to drive down infections and return to some form of normalcy, public health officials and infectious disease experts say.
It also allows states to get middle school students vaccinated before summer camps begin and school starts in the fall.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention panel's meeting comes two days after the Food and Drug Administration announced it approved Pfizer and BioNTech's request to allow their vaccine to be given to young teens on an Emergency use Basis. The vaccine is already authorized for use in people 16 and older. It will be administered in adolescents in two doses, three weeks apart, the same regimen for 16 years of age and older, the FDA said.

What is the risk these teens are facing? With the death from Covid-19 reached 600,000 death and hospitalizations of millions, How many of these are teens?

Who is deciding the Risk out weigh the benefits for each individual. Just a thought.
