Seattle radio host Jason Rantz joined "Tucker Carlson Tonight" to discuss the end of the Capitol Hill Organized Protest [CHOP], which the eponymous host sarcasticly described as a "fledgling state."

"We were not greeted as liberators today," Rantz told Carlson, "and it is kind of bizarre to figure out what to do with these folks from CHOP ... Are they refugees? I mean, we kicked them out of their sovereign land with overwhelming force via bicycle cops.

"And they did put up a little bit of a fight with their fortified borders of old couches, which, by the way, not what they used to be, because those bike cops got through them very, very quickly. They must have been IKEA."

"We're talking about a whole bunch of 20-something, imbecilic, progressive, white-privileged dudes who think that they basically don't have to work for a living. They can just turn to socialism and everything will be handed to them. Do we really even want them in Seattle? I think we should give them the Portland."

"There's some rumors that they're going to try to take up some new space. "So they're going from the East Police Precinct to the West Police Precinct.

"We don't know exactly who's going to be the leadership this time," he added. "Obviously, like a phoenix rising through the flames of a dumpster fire."

When individuals get crowbars and start prying open doors to loot, they're not protesting. 

They're not making a statement. They're stealing. When they burn down a building, they're committing arson. And they're destroying and undermining businesses and opportunities in their own communities. 

That robs jobs and opportunity from people in that area."

New York City plans to reopen the nation’s largest public-school system in September with social-distancing guidelines, Mayor Bill de Blasio said, which would represent a major step in the city’s efforts to recover from the devastating impact of the coronavirus.

After the mayor’s briefing, Governor Andrew Cuomo’s spokeswoman Dani Lever said the governor alone holds the authority to decide whether and when schools will reopen.

“All such decisions are made by state government and not local government,” Lever said in a statement. The state will consult the city’s parents, teachers, health officials and elected officials,” she said, without naming de Blasio. “But the governor has said any determination is premature at this point.”

In April, when de Blasio announced he would keep schools closed for the remainder of the school year, Cuomo pushed back and insisted such decisions rested with the state.

De Blasio is requesting the President call on Senate Republicans to provide federal stimulus to New York City.

According to the mayor, the city cut the budget from its initial $95.3 billion proposal as it struggled to balance funds amid a huge revenue deficit triggered by the coronavirus pandemic.

"Nine billion dollars evaporated in the span of just months," de Blasio said. "That's what we had to deal with here and it was a challenge."  

Due to the billions of dollars that were cut in savings, de Blasio said the city will work with labor unions to find ways to make up for those cuts and avoid layoffs come October.

The UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) has made 746 arrests and dismantled dozens of organized crime groups after intercepting millions of encrypted text messages, BBC reports. 

The messages were sent through EncroChat, a subscription-based phone system popular among career criminals. The NCA said in a press conference on Thursday that the operation has had “the biggest impact on organized crime gangs it has ever seen.”

EncroChat sold customized Android handsets with GPS, camera, and microphone functionality removed. They were loaded with encrypted messaging apps as well as a secure secondary operating system (in addition to Android). The phones also came with a self-destruct feature that wiped the device if you entered a PIN.

With these actions, some may want to defund the police in England.         Just a thought.

Detectives are looking for the suspect who attacked and attempted to sexually assault a woman on a Brooklyn street early on Sunday morning.

Police released two videos of the perpetrator involved in the incident, which occurred at 4 a.m. in the area of St. James and Lefferts Places in Clinton Hill.

According to law enforcement sources, the 30-year-old woman was on her way home when the creep approached her from behind. Cops said he punched her in the head, knocking her to the pavement.

After she fell, authorities reported, the suspect repeatedly punched her, then attempted to sexually assault her. Cops said the victim managed to fight off her attacker, who then grabbed her backpack and ran away northbound on St. James Place toward Fulton Street.

Does this type of crimes happen in France?  Just a thought.
