Deception...

Image result for Avenatti
Federal prosecutors in New York unsealed new charges against Michael Avenatti, accusing the prominent lawyer of defrauding adult-film star Stormy Daniels, in connection with her book deal.
One accuses him of aggravated identity theft and wire fraud in the Daniels case. Though she is not named in the document. He is charged with diverting some of the book’s proceeds and spending it on his personal and business expenses.
The other indictment formally charges Avenatti with attempting to extort the athletic apparel company Nike in a separate case connected to his arrest in March.
Avenatti, as alleged, instead engaged in outright deception and theft, victimizing rather than advocating for his client.”
Separately, federal prosecutors in Los Angeles have filed a 36-count indictment against Avenatti, alleging he swindled clients and sought to cover up financial chicanery in other schemes.

The crime at the root of Watergate was an attempt at surveillance of the DNC after George McGovern seemed about to win the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination, just as the government misconduct in Russiagate was an attempt at surveillance of the Republican Trump clinched the nomination.

Both the Watergate wiretap and the Obama appointees’ spy infiltration were initially inspired amid fears that the upstart opposition might win.

In both cases, the incumbent administration regarded the opposition’s unorthodox nominee as undermining the nation’s long-standing foreign policy and therefore dangerous to the country.

In March 2016,  Trump surprising and persistent strength in the Republican primaries left some doubtful, including the FBI lovebirds who instant messaged their desire for an “insurance policy” against that dreaded eventuality.

Has an outgoing administration ever worked to delegitimize and dislodge its successor like this?

The greater and more dangerous departure from norms was that of the Obama officials seeking to overturn the results of the 2016 election.   Just a thought.

Get out...

Columbia University professor Jeffrey D. Sachs, a writer of foreign policy textbooks and special adviser to the United Nations, issued a special plea,

"What I would plead to President Trump is: Get out, like your instinct told you... Get out. We've done enough damage in seven years," Sachs  about the Syrian War.

Sachs explained: "This [Syrian civil war] happened because of [the United States]. These 600,000 [dead] are not just incidental. [The  States] started a war to overthrow a regime. It was covert. It was Operation: Timber Sycamore, the CIA operation. Together with Saudi Arabia, still shrouded in secrecy...

A major war effort shrouded in secrecy, never debated by Congress, never explained to the American people. Signed by President Obama. Never explained."

And we now know they sent in the CIA to overthrow Assad. The CIA and Saudi Arabia together in covert operations tried to overthrow Assad. It was a disaster. Eventually, it brought in both ISIS, as a splinter group to the Jihadists that went in. It also brought in Russia.
Just a thought.

Game...

Inelegance personnel may have decided that they know better than everyone else. Some leaking the information to certain media outlet, which took it and ran with it for over two years.

By the time the investigation of how the spy-gate started, then the process, and how is going to end
they may have given the 2020 to Trump on a silver platter.

Strategy...

Impeachment is not a good strategy for the Democrats. For once it will open the door widely for information regarding what the Democrats operatives did to start the Spy Gate of Trump campaign.

In addition to the continue campaign of trying to discredit the president after the election and the attempt of higher up Democrats to restore their own power against the well of the people.

That...

Old men should get out of this business. Let women decide for their own future.

Armed groups defending Libya’s capital from an offensive by Egyptian and Emirati-backed warlord Khalifa Haftar have obtained drones for the first time and begun to deploy them along the front lines, a senior official told The Independent.

The war, now on Tripoli’s outskirts, has turned into a battlefield stalemate, with back-and-forth mortars and rocket barrages inflicting casualties and destroying buildings – but barely changing the front around 10 miles from the centre of the capital of 3 million. Nearly 500 people have been killed and at least 2,150 wounded. Some 70,000 people have been displaced.
Mr Meshri, a former member of the Libyan branch of the Muslim Brotherhood organisation considered an ideological enemy by Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, said his government was focused on defending the capital and dislodging Mr Haftar’s forces from his strongholds in the cities of Tarhouna and Garyan, south of the capital.
Avoiding the bluster of many Libyan officials and military commanders, he was tempered about the capabilities of the collection of armed groups that make up the GNA force. The most powerful are the brigades from Misrata, the Libyan port city which bore the brunt of the 2011 war against former dictator Muammar Gaddafi and the 2016 war to dislodge Isis from the city of Sirte.
Who is arming these folks?
