Mismanaged...
Governor Andrew Cuomo begged Amazon to reconsider its decision to back out of plans to bring HQ2 to Queens after public criticism, while in northern Virginia, the company is facing protests and calls for hearings on a similar project.
Eighteen months after the e-commerce giant launched its search for a second headquarters, the company’s site-selection plans are no less controversial. Critics say governments shouldn’t be lavishing subsidies on Amazon, whose presence is likely to drive up housing costs, middle and low income families out of the area and increase traffic congestion for Cuomo to tax the little people.
New York civic leaders published an open letter to Amazon, promising that Cuomo will personally oversee state approval and a package of tax incentives totaling about $3 billion, and apologizing for the “rough and not very welcoming” debate that prompted the company to withdraw. Cuomo himself didn’t sign the letter, but the New York Times reported that he had made a personal pitch to Bezos in an effort to revive the deal.
The letter, signed by local politicians and executives, appeared in the New York Times just hours after protesters disrupted a networking event in Arlington, Virginia, where hundreds of local real estate professionals had paid $200 each to hear from Holly Sullivan, Amazon’s head of economic development, talk about the company’s plans for an area in Virginia that Amazon has rebranded as National Landing.
Pay to play is not OK!
Kama Sutra...
The 66-year-old comedian sat down with conservative commentator Candace Owens, where she mocked sexual assault accusers and the #MeToo movement "witch hunt."
"If you don't run out the room … but you stayed around because you're like, 'I thought maybe he was going to give me a writing job,' well, you ain't nothing but a ho," Barr said after asking why women were in men's hotel rooms late at night.
Barr and Owens compared the feminist movement to white supremacy, while Barr added that #MeToo accusers are "pretending that they didn’t go to trade sexual favors for money." " ho privilege."
Then lashed out against Sen. Kamala Harris, nicknaming her "Kama Sutra Harris."
"We all know what she did … she slept her way to the bottom," Barr said, referring to the senator's former relationship with ex-San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown.
Barr also took shots at Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, "She should be in prison," Barr said, adding that Ford used her "white woman privilege" to avoid time behind bars. She claimed that "nothing happened" to Ford.
"Women are encouraged to be conniving," Barr said.
"Conniving little wimps," Owens agreed.
Guts*...
Sen. Bernie Sanders blasted 13 Senate Democrats for lacking the “guts” to stand up to the pharmaceutical industry after they voted against a measure he pushed to help drive down drug costs by importing them from Canada. A dozen Republicans voted in favor.
“The Democratic Party are not going to win elections until they do right by the American people.
Democratic Sens. Michael
Sanders said “If we can import vegetables, fish, poultry and beef from all corners of the Earth, don’t tell me that we cannot bring in, from Canada and other major countries, name brand prescription drugs of some of the largest corporations in the world.” “That’s a laughable statement.”
So, here ya go, the Democrats are defeating themselves. They say they are for the little people and here they are for ...

Climate*...
U.S. Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), a member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, responded to President Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement:
“President Trump’s decision ...... is a vicious blow to American leadership and to our future. “President Trump is just plain wrong: it's not economy versus the environment or America versus the world. It's future versus past; progress and opportunity versus retreat and surrender.
Earlier the social media blew up with condemnation of Cory Booker and other Senate Democrats for voting against an amendment introduced by Bernie Sanders that would allow for the importation of prescription drugs in order to drive prices down.
Affordable medication is not that urgent, nor progressive enough for Spartacus!!! Just a thought.

Naplam Girl...
Nick Ut’s photo of Kim Phuc was a transformative moment in a horrible conflict.
The village where Ut captured the horror of the Vietnam War in a single, Pulitzer Prize–winning frame of a young girl fleeing her village after being torched by napalm dropped by a South Vietnamese Air Force Skyraider.
The misery of war, shouldn't be forgotten.
Exercise...
Seeking to give diplomatic efforts to denuclearize North Korea more of a chance, the U.S. and South Korea have decided to stop holding the large-scale annual spring exercises that have irritated North Korea in the past fifty years.
Instead, replacing them with smaller-scale exercises intended to maintain the readiness of U.S. and South Korean troops on the Korean Peninsula.
The move was announced following a phone call between acting Defense Secretary and South Korean Defense Minister.
The joint exercises was and is a threat to the North as they perceive it. When the military might is hovering around, moving towards the borders of another country, is not a comforting thoughts for the people.
