Moderate...

Their numbers are waning,  35% of Democrats still moderates while 13%  are conservative, according to a recent Gallup survey.
Seven of the eight major declared candidates support Medicare for All, but are they really prepared to eliminate all private health insurance.
Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz says there is no longer room for him in his former party,  considering an independent presidential run.
When Pew asked Democratic-leaning voters which direction they'd like to see their party move, 54% said "more moderate" compared to 40 % who said "more liberal."
Of course, electability is a fuzzy concept after the surprise result of the 2016 election, and progressives and people of color have been challenging the conventional wisdom that appealing to the center is party's best strategy.
It's also unclear if moderate Democrats could coalesce around one candidate in the primary since they include a wide range of groups with cross-cutting values.

Run...

Image result for de blasio as a president cartoon

These two couldn't agree on any thing. As it was reported, "No" was the answer by the mayor staff for the Governor at all time. When it came to run the subway system in NYC both didn't care a bit.

The past eight years they ignored the system and its need because there is more important issues to tackle. So the money was syphoned to other areas that the Mayor and the Governor would look impressive. Five million riders daily in NYC Subway are suffering with all aspects of system deterioration.

Then comes the Amazon deal where the two, all of a sudden, became side by side. Credit of 3 Billions is given to the largest corporation ever, the opinion of those who are in the area is not important. It is a done deal for the Real Estate Developer of the area that is less than half a mile of Manhattan.

So the Mayor wants to run for a larger system than the Subway, NYSH, Schools, and Amazon.

Democratic House lawmakers and former government officials are characterizing recent comments from one of their rising stars, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, as antisemitic.

The exceptional rebuke comes after Omar, a freshman member of Congress, suggested on Twitter that her colleagues have been paid off to support Israel. She later "unequivocally apologize[d]," saying, "anti-Semitism is real.

Ilhan Omar apologized under pressure from the House Democratic leadership, who issued a unified statement condemning her comments.

Scammer...

This scammer picked the WRONG senior citizen to go after.

94-year-old William Webster of Washington D.C. and his wife, Lynda, got a call about four years ago from a man who threatened to set their house on fire or shoot them if they didn't pay him thousands of dollars.

What the guy didn't realize is . . . William is a LEGEND in law enforcement. He's the only person who's ever been the director of the FBI and the director of the CIA.

So when he got the first scam call, he immediately called the FBI. And when the guy kept calling, William and Lynda kept alerting the FBI . . . and Lynda even had an agent listen in on one of the calls.

The FBI traced the calls to a 29-year-old man in Jamaica named Keniel Thomas. And when he flew to New York in 2017 to visit a friend, he was instantly arrested.

He's been in jail ever since, and he was just sentenced to six years in prison for trying to scam the Websters and successfully scamming several other elderly people. He'll be deported to Jamaica when his sentence is over.

Deligitimizes...

Bloomingdale’s has issued an apology for selling a shirt that read “fake news,” and it has since removed the item from the department store’s floor.
Bloomingdale’s initially pulled the item from its sales floor after it was brought to their attention, by a reporter for local New York City station WPIX, that the article of clothing “delegitimizes” journalists.
Allison Kaden was shopping at a Bloomingdale’s store in White Plains, New York when she saw a mannequin wearing a shirt depicting the phrase, “Fake News.” The phrase was made popular by President Donald Trump, and is used to dismiss reporting that is characterized as false or sensational in nature.
It delegitimizes hard working journalists who bring REAL news to their communities.
Comment: I disagree with  "Delegitimizes" any body, it actually repeat what the news media say all the time. This one is better than the other, sensational episodes, and incomplete ones.

Fuming...

Feb. 11, 2019

Howard Schultz: I am seriously thinking of running for president. I will run as a centrist independent, outside of the two-party system.  We're living at a most-fragile time, both parties are consistently not doing what's necessary on behalf of the American people and are engaged, every single day, in revenge politics.

Schultz’s flirtations with an independent bid has left many Democrats fuming. It appears that he was flirting the idea of running as a Democrate and found it....
