Gov. Andrew Cuomo has raised $100 million since he first ran for governor in 2010, a staggering sum that includes millions in donations from companies with business before New York state.
A review of records by the USA TODAY Network’s Albany bureau shows:
  • The governor’s donors include 19 companies that received $13 billion in state contracts after giving $425,000 or more to Cuomo’s campaign.
  • A fifth of his donations — $19.7 million — come from a loophole in state campaign-finance laws that allows businesses to far exceed the $5,000 annual limit on corporate contributions.
No other governor has raised such amounts, other than those who self-financed part of their campaigns. The money raised has helped Cuomo easily win two terms for governor, and it gives him a large edge as he seeks a third term in November.

Muddled Waters...

"Make no mistake, the days of this committee weakening regulations and putting our economy once again at risk of another financial crisis will come to an end," Rep. Maxine Waters said.
Bank shares moved lower following a CNBC report on the remarks, with the SPDR S&P Bank ETF down 0.6 percent in morning trade.
Since Trump began his term in early 2017, the administration has sought to loosen the regulatory reins imposed by the Dodd-Frank reforms that came into being after the financial crisis that exploded in 2008. In particular, the White House and the Fed have worked to tailor capital rules to be less onerous on regional and community banks.

Good luck to Ms. Maxine, she will bring the down turn of the economy herself, thus more people will support the Don.  Just a thought.

At first glance, it sounds like a sweet deal. But if HQ2 came to New York, with its influx of tech workers, the campus could exacerbate several problems that already plague the city, including high housing prices, overpopulation, and gridlock - all things Seattle, Amazon's home, has seen since the company arrived in the late 1990s.

Though New York City is the densest city in the US, the promise of 50,000 jobs is likely to attract even more residents. That could be bad news for the city's struggling public transit. The city's subways handle 5.7 million riders every weekday, and 50,000 more people could make a dent, however small.

As of bid day, 73 community organizations across 21 states have signed an open letter to Bezos listing several concerns around a possible HQ2 in their cities, including out-of-state hiring, lack of investment in transportation infrastructure, unaffordable housing, and gentrification.

For the New York Governor who wants to tax the drivers in Manhattan to alleviate congestion, he is producing congestion ten folds , give free money and then come later to raise Taxes.

A retired U.S. Navy captain has pleaded guilty, while another former Navy officer was sentenced to prison in a wide-spanning Navy bribery scandal involving a Malaysian defense contractor.
Jeffrey Breslau, 52, of Georgia, pleaded guilty in federal court in San Diego to a criminal conflict of interest charge. So far 33 people have been charged in the case.
Leonard Francis, nicknamed "Fat Leonard," paid Breslau to ghostwrite his emails. Prosecutors say Francis overbilled the US Navy by more than $35 million for services for ships.
Francis, bribed Navy officials to help him overbill the Navy for fuel, food and other services his company provided to ships docked in Asian ports, according to prosecutors.
The bribes allegedly ranged from cash and prostitutes to Cuban cigars and Spanish suckling pigs.

How many times do our children run up to us to share a grievance toward another child? Generally these complaints involve rules that have been broken. We spend a lot of time teaching our kids “the rules” — use your inside voice, share your toys with your friends, keep your hands to yourself, etc. The list goes on. It’s natural for a child to want to call attention to perceived rule breaking, but “Do not tattle” can also become a new rule for your child to follow.

This tighty-whitie guy is cheeky and puckish. He doesn't get embarrassed easily and is self-aware in a way that is actually super-sexy. He knows himself and that makes him cool without even trying.

A guy in a thong is a fearless man. He is his own damn person. And that is what is important to the thong-clad man. He wants to look good and is willing to give up a little comfort if he needs to, even though no one asked him to do that. He is a total goddamn weirdo, but he's just doing his thing.

His jockstrap is reminiscent of his old football days and he just doesn't want to leave the past behind. The man had buttcheeks that could cut diamonds.  He's not going to cover that memory up with some flabby boxers.  He likes to party and he likes to dance, a good-time guy. He might not make the best boyfriend, but he'll be a great fling. He's too lazy for real underwear, but too cool for tighty-whities.

A commando guy might be called down-to-earth by some or dirty by others:  If he's not one to wear underwear, he's not one to sweat the small stuff. He likes old Western movies and smoking pot out of an apple pipe. He probably does something off the cuff manning the bar at a cool, low-key dive bar, while likely still living with his parents. Hey, it's rent-free.

Romance...

Since most romance novels and romantic comedies are pitched to female audiences, men actually have a more romantic outlook on love than women do

A much-used measure of romanticism, the Romantic Beliefs Scale, asks people to rate the extent to which they agree with statements like, “There will only be one real love for me,” and, “If I love someone, I know I can make the relationship work, despite any obstacles.

"It turns out that men typically outscore women on this measure.1 Men are also more likely than women to believe in the romantic notion of “love at first sight.”2,3

Officials have kept quiet any economic incentives they’re offering Amazon to move part of its second headquarters to Long Island City.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo has said he is doing everything he can to lure the tech giant, even joking he’d change his name to “Amazon Cuomo” and rename Newtown Creek the “Amazon River.”
But Cuomo’s been tight-lipped about the specific incentives he’s putting on the table. And the New York City Economic Development Corporation has refused to give details about the proposal it submitted to Amazon in October of last year, denying Freedom of Information Law requests by The Real Deal and other organizations.
One tool the governor has is to offer Excelsior Jobs Program tax credits, which has so far committed more than $1.04 billion in tax credits across the state, according to a quarterly report from March.
Free tax Money to create additional congestion that the governor  wanted to reduce by taxing others.
