Shocking...*

Regime change is a goal rather than a respond to local people desire. To justify our action we claim that the president is a dictator. He killed his own people.

Then we proceed with what we decided to do.
So we have a reason, but the process is messy.

What was the outcome?

How many local people died, and injured?  How many lives shattered, forced out of their homes, lands, , live as refugees somewhere else?

Iraq, Syria, and Libya.  Is any one responsible for these tragedies?

Eating processed meats like hot dogs, sausages and bacon can cause colorectal cancer in humans, and red meat is also a likely cause of the disease.  World Health Organization (WHO) experts said.

WHO said additionally that there was some link between the consumption of red meat and pancreatic cancer and prostate cancer.

IARC classified processed meat as "carcinogenic to humans" on its group one list along with tobacco and asbestos, for which there is "sufficient evidence" of cancer links.

For an individual, the risk of developing colorectal (bowel) cancer increases with the amount of meat consumed," Dr Kurt Straif of the IARC said in a statement.

The classification for red meat, defined as all types of mammalian meat including beef, lamb and pork, reflected "limited evidence" that it causes cancer. The IARC found links mainly with colorectal cancer - which is a cancer that starts either in the colon or rectum - but also observed associations with pancreatic and prostate cancer.

The news may not add much to long-standing health recommendations to limit consumption of such meat.   Just a thought.

In the days after the December 2015 massacre in San Bernardino, California the iPhone left behind by one of the shooters was secretly flown to the FBI’s laboratory in Quantico, Virginia.

The FBI had been unable to review the phone’s contents due to a security feature  

Apple fought a court order "to help authorities bypass the security feature". Apple maintained the U.S. government was asking it to create a "backdoor" into its devices.

One company officials demonstrated their technology and the FBI greenlighted applying it to the phone.  "the FBI has now successfully retrieved the data stored on" the phone, according to the Justice Department. The court case is withdrawn.  Apple did not play a part in finding the solution.

The shoe is now on the other foot.   Just a thought.

Tried...

A man shouted death threats from his car window at several groups of French soldiers out for a morning jog in the French Alps, then tried to run two of them over, a military spokesman said.

Col. Benoit Brulot, a French Army spokesman, said the driver circled the military barracks in Varces-Allieres-et-Risset shouting at groups of soldiers. He returned later and tried to hit the two soldiers with his car before making a quick getaway.

Security sources told French news agency AFP that the suspect shouted threats at the soldiers in both French and Arabic. AFP said the man was driving a car with false license plates when he drove at the soldiers.

According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, freedom of expression is the right of every individual to hold opinions  to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media regardless of frontiers, without interference.

The right to freedom of expression is recognized as a human right under article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and recognized in the (ICCPR).

It  additionally states that the exercise of these rights carries "special duties and responsibilities" and may "therefore be subject to certain restrictions" when necessary "for respect of the rights or reputation of others" or "for the protection of national security, of public order,  public health or morals".

Easter is a symbol of walking away from death and into life. It gives us the power to overcome the culture of death with its sad faces and terrible expressions.   

It is about the culture of Life and Love.

The Easter Event turned around the lives of Christ's disciples through-out the ages. It can turn around our lives today, to rise, to come forth into the light of a new day.

Easter is a new beginning, in any and all directions.
