The U.S. economy is behaving mysteriously.   The unemployment rate hit a decade low, average hourly earnings grew just 2.5%  compared with  4% before .

The Phillips curve is effectively dead. In textbooks.   As unemployment rises wage growth falls. Currently the correlation has been so inconsistent that it looks more like a Jackson Pollock drip painting or the footprints of a staggering drunk.

It just makes sense that a tight labor market will eventually push up wages.

Some fall back on the explanation that workers’ bargaining power has weakened. The decline of unions is a crucial factor,  The Bureau of Labor Statistics says fewer than 11 percent of wage and salary workers were union members last year, down from 20 percent in 1983.

Globalization has weakened the leverage of American workers  by shifting production where wages are cheaper. Workers are unfairly competing on a global scale,”.

Then with such pressures, workers are content with what they’re earning. Employees are more willing to settle for small raises if  inflation remains low, or a threat of moving the job somewhere else is reduced.  No wonder many are against globalization.

Finally, companies are doing more with the workers they have by implementing advanced technologies.

Since oil started crashing in mid-2014, the oil producers confronted budget shortfalls that forced most to dip into oil savings and borrow money.

Saudi Arabia and Russia are at odds on pretty much everything: the war in Syria, policies on Iran, ties with Washington.  But when it comes to propping up global oil prices, they’ve never been more aligned.  The announcement sent oil rallying more than 5 percent within days.

The stakes are particularly high for Saudi Arabia as the U.S., a long-time loyal customer, cements itself as a rival producer. And as the US continue same production or even more, the oil producers will get nothing for their reduction in production.

So it is not ideology, or religion that controls our lives. It is the all mighty green Back.

A 25-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly spraying employees at a fast food restaurant in Minneapolis, Minn. with tear gas. According to WCCO, cops arrived at a Wendy's restaurant after receiving a call about a disturbance. Employees told cops that Eiram Chanel Amir Dixson allegedly drove through the drive-thru to order food.
Dixson reportedly asked that her french fries be fresh.
Cops say an argument then ensued and Dixson went through the pick-up window when an employee threw a drink at her. The woman then allegedly grabbed tear gas and sprayed it through the window.
The restaurant's manager and another employee were hit by the spray. Dixson was arrested and charged with use of tear gas to immobilize.
She really wanted those fries right out of the fryer.

Compassion...

The heart of New Yorkers and their rush to attend to the injured.      A word of comfort, a soft touch, a word of hope for recovery, standing by the victim until the professionals arrived.

A culture of help, assistance, compassion and support. A culture of appreciation for Life, regardless of who you are, and what your views are. Basic humans decency with wonder response to evil hiding behind a deceptive Ideology.
