Threat...

Why America and China can’t trust each other

China’s leaders believe their U.S. counterparts have already aired their malign intentions in public. Successive American presidents have consistently stated their support for the spread of liberty globally and for the development of democracy in China in particular.

American leaders cannot trust Chinese leaders because the latter’s long-term designs are difficult to discern and clouded in secrecy.  Washington has already made clear U.S. opposition to the continued rule of the Chinese Communist Party, even if America’s ultimate plans for bringing down the CCP are unclear.

With intervention in Iraq, Libya, Syria and the bad outcome of the interventions, [Hundred thousands killed, country sectarian violence, and the rise of terrorist organization] scares everybody else, in the region or outside.     Iran and North Korea find it being a nuclear power lessens the chances of US activities to bring the regimes down.

The constant media information about US military moves, ultimate goals, and other detailes, make the information real threat for other countries such as China, Iran, North Korea, and many of our allies as well.

So how to keep peace in the world?  Less regime change?.   Just a thought.

Woo...*

The death of a Texas mother whose body was found in her SUV with her hungry, thirsty children alive beside her has been ruled a suicide.  Thi Woo died of a self-inflicted overdose.

Her SUV parked in a Target store parking lot in the Dallas suburb of McKinney. The woman and children had been missing for three days. The children ages 1, 3 and 5.

The husband believed he needed to wait 24 hours until he file the report!!
Before the discovery, Brandon Woo told CBS  there were no family problems and he couldn't think of anything that would have prompted her to leave.
"She's a loving mother, a great wife. She's the most stable person you could ever meet," Brandon Woo said.

She is carrying one child, the older is clinging tight to her and the third is not far...
No mother would leave her three, very young children, like this unless there is something else going on.    Just a thought

Anthony D'Alessandro,  stole nearly 200,000 oxycodone pills from the facility, said Bridget Brennan, New York City's special narcotics prosecutor.  The 249-count indictment was issued.   The pills were worth about $5.6 million on the street.

The sticky-fingered pharmacist pleaded guilty to four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, officials said.

He served as director of pharmacy services at Beth Israel on First Ave. and 16th St. for 14 years, authorities said. He was responsible for overseeing all of the medication stocked and dispensed at the facility.

The new Mount Sinai Health System received an anonymous letter that explained the large-scale theft and provided related documentation.

D'Alessandro made false entries into the hospital's electronic narcotics inventory system to cover up his crimes, according to officials.

Why would a trusted person betray his trust? Absolute power....    [Daily News.. 6/17/15]

Optimistic...

Image result for An optimist and a pessimist

Optimism is a mental attitude. A common idiom used to illustrate optimism versus pessimism is a glass with water at the halfway point, where the optimist is said to see the glass as half full and the pessimist sees the glass as half empty.

Being optimistic is defined as expecting the best possible outcome from any given situation.  It thus reflects a belief that future conditions will work out for the best.

Variation in optimism and pessimism is somewhat heritable[2] and reflects biological trait systems to some degree.[3] It is also influenced by environmental factors, , and may also be linked to health.[5]

Optimistic people believe bad events to be more temporary and bounce back quickly from failure.

Optimistic people allow good events to brighten every area of their lives rather than just the particular area in which the event occurred.

Optimists blame bad events on causes outside of themselves, are more confident, and quickly internalize positive events.   It can be learned.

Comes around...

Six months ago, 55-year-old Billy Ray Harris was homeless. He lived on a street corner in Kansas City, holding out a cup and asking passers-by for spare change.

In February, Sarah Darling passed Harris at his usual spot and dropped some change into his cup. But, unbeknownst to her, she also accidentally dropped in her engagement ring. Though Harris considered selling the ring — he got it appraised for $4,000 — he ultimately couldn’t go through with it, and a few days later, he returned the ring to Darling.

As a way to say thank you, Darling and her husband Bill Krejci started a fund to raise money for Harris to help him get his life back on track. “We set a goal for a thousand dollars,”
The fund raised far more than any of them expected  in just three months, people donated more than $190,000.

Harris talked to a lawyer, who helped him put the money in a trust. Since then, he’s been able to buy a car and even put money down on a house, which he’s fixing up himself.

Data update...

Image result for terror in champs elysee

The Paris prosecutor says the Champs-Elysees attacker had a note defending the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria with him when he opened fire on police officers.

Molins said the terrorist [Cheurfi] had a long police record, notably for trying to attack police in the past. The prosecutor said he was arrested in February, but later released for lack of evidence.

The terrorist's former lawyer says his client most likely had “psychological” problems.

U.S. authorities told CBS News that Cheurfi has not shown up in any U.S. databases of terrorists and overnight data scrubs had not revealed any links between Cheurfi and people in the U.S.

It is obviously that this is one criminal who just not connected with anyone. Wants to seem bigger than his criminal enterprise. The security services have to upgrade its data accordingly and so is the USA. Certain criminals have proven to do terrorists  activities without connecting with other terrorist organization.      Just a thought.

Buying Everybody...*

Image result for big pharma mergers cartoon

Pfizer has reportedly made overtures offering to buy pharma giant AstraZeneca for $120 billions, the first mega matchup in pharma land in years.

Pfizer acquired Warner-Lambert in 2000 for $90 billions, Pharmacia in 2003 for $60 Billions, and Wyeth, for $68 billions in 2009.   Sold for $16.6 billions its consumer-products division to Johnson & Johnson in 2006,

Big money is moving back and forth on minimum new medications of real benefits to the patients.

Pfizer should be looking for more Research and Development to add more drugs into its pipeline.  The market place see minor amount of new drugs in general. Diversify its business model is also important.

The structure and laws in USA must be changed. The market structure should be geared into profitable R&D not marketing and Financial Engineering of the same back and forth. This is the hardest thing to do.

Just a thought.
