Teach...

Image result for europe immigrants cartoon

“You are not going to teach us about humanity,” Mr. el-Sisi told reporters. Europeans and Arabs have a different “sense of humanity, values and ethics,” he continued. “Respect our values and ethics, as we do yours.”
The outburst was a mark of the often awkward embrace between European Union and Arab League leaders in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, at their inaugural summit to broker closer ties on issues like migration and terrorism.
European leaders hope to boost their efforts to deter or push back mostly African migrants trying to cross the Mediterranean.

But worries about terrorism and illegal migration, as well as a desire to make lucrative arms sales, have drawn European leaders closer to  leaders like Mr. el-Sisi.

Mr. el-Sisi accused prosperous European nations of showing little understanding of the pressures facing Arab countries threatened with conflict.

He should collect all the prisoners due to terrorists ativities and send them to Europe as Asylum seekers so that Europe deals with terrorism better than Egypt.
Just a thought.

Lock up...

Image result for elizabeth warren cartoon

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., will unveil legislation that would make it easier to criminally charge and lock up executives for a company's wrongdoing.
The bill, called the Corporate Executive Accountability Act, continues the presidential candidate's push to hold leaders more accountable for a firm's alleged abuses. Warren will also reintroduce a plan  that would ramp up scrutiny of big bank executives.
Warren's bill would widen criminal liability to include "negligent executives" of corporations with more than $1 billion in annual revenue that have reached certain terms related to alleged wrongdoing.
The legislation has little shot of getting through the GOP-held Senate and could face resistance in the business world. But it comes as Warren has emerged as one of the leading policy voices in a crowded 2020 Democratic presidential primary field that has put an emphasis on populism and working class issues.
Is there any thing positive to this Negative and Militant candidate?

A woman with Chinese passports has been charged with making false statements to a federal officer and entering a restricted area after she allegedly managed to deceive her way onto Mar-a-Lago property with a malware-infected device.

A 32-year-old Yujing Zhang made it through checkpoints and to the main reception area before she was stopped when a receptionist determined she wasn't on an approved guest list.

Secret Service agents did halt her at multiple points to question her purpose for being there. ccording to the Secret Service, Zhang claimed many things including desire to use the pool as a member but she had no swimming apparel. She had four cellphones, one laptop, one external hard drive and one thumb drive containing "malicious" malware.   Just a thought.

Legumes...

Whole grains are good sources of fiber and other nutrients that play a role in regulating blood pressure and heart health. You can increase the amount of whole grains in a heart-healthy diet by making simple substitutions for refined grain products. Or be adventuresome and try a new whole grain, such as whole-grain farro, quinoa or barley.

Poultry and fish, low-fat dairy products, and eggs are some of your best sources of protein.
Fish is another good alternative to high-fat meats. And certain types of fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which can lower blood fats called triglycerides.

You'll find the highest amounts of omega-3 fatty acids in cold-water fish, such as salmon, mackerel and herring. Other sources are flaxseed, walnuts, soybeans and canola oil.

Legumes — beans, peas and lentils — also are good sources of protein and contain less fat and no cholesterol, making them good substitutes for meat.

Substituting plant protein for animal protein — for example, a soy or bean burger for a hamburger will reduce your fat and cholesterol intake and increase your fiber intake.

The fight within the Democratic party is getting serious. Biden is on the top of the chart before even entering the race. Yet so many Democratic hopefuls don't wants him in cause their chances diminished immediately. Well, more to come.

Burger King is introducing a Whopper made with a vegetarian patty from the start-up Impossible Foods.

The Impossible Whopper, as it will be known, is the biggest validation  and expansion opportunity  for a young industry that is looking to mimic and replace meat with plant-based alternatives.

The vegetarian burger made by Beyond Meat has been available at over a thousand Carl’s Jr. restaurants since January and the company is now moving toward an initial public offering.

Burger King’s chief marketing officer, said that in the company’s testing so far, customers and even employees had not been able to tell the difference between the old meaty Whopper and the new veggie one.

Painless...

The Supreme Court held that Missouri can execute a man who claims to suffer from a medical condition that will make lethal injection excruciatingly painful.
The case concerned Russell Bucklew, a convicted murderer and rapist who suffers from an extremely rare disease called cavernous hemangioma, which causes blood-filled tumors to grow around his head and neck.
Bucklew's attorneys argued that lethal injection will cause Bucklew to suffer from the feeling that he's suffocating for several minutes during the execution. For Bucklew, they argued, the punishment is cruel and unusual, even if it the method is permissible for others.
Justice Neil Gorsuch, who wrote the opinion of the court, said that the Constitution's prohibition on cruel and unusual punishment does not mean that executions must be painless.

He didn't have heart for those when he raped and murdered.  Just a thought.

Taxing...

Image result for Cuomo taxing new yorkers cartoons

New York lawmakers have a potent incentive to help make sure they pass a $175 billion state budget by Sunday's deadline: A $10,000 pay raise.
The state's 213 lawmakers are scheduled to see their base pay increased from $110,000 to $120,000 on Jan. 1, 2020, as part of a three-year schedule approved by the state Compensation Committee last year.
The raise takes effect only upon the "timely legislative passage of the budget."
Agency commissioners appointed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, as well as the state attorney general and comptroller, are also due a Jan. 1 raise that will take effect only if the budget is on time.
Assembly Democrats appeared to clear one of the major remaining hurdles, saying they back congestion pricing, a new tax on drivers below 61st Street in Manhattan.
Raises were also recommended for Cuomo to make $250,000 a year by 2021.
Taxing the people of New York, is the goal for these Democrats while give the corporation prime land and billions of dollars in breaks.

Borders...

The United States was home to 12.2 million in 2007, according to the most recent Pew Research Center estimates. This decade a decrease in unauthorized immigrants from Mexico, even as the numbers from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras increased. Meanwhile, a growing share of unauthorized immigrants had arrived legally and then overstayed their visas.

More recent data from the federal government show that 2018 saw an uptick in border apprehensions. There were nearly 467,000 apprehensions at the southwest border last year, the most in any calendar year since at least 2012. Still, the number of apprehensions in 2018 remained far below the more than 1 million apprehensions per fiscal year routinely recorded during the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s.
President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency at the U.S.-Mexico border survived a critical vote in the House, as Democrats failed to override his veto.

In February 2019,  76,103 illegal without the needed documentation to enter the U.S. either presented themselves at legal ports of entry or were apprehended by Border Patrol between ports of entry.

Most likely the illegals problem will help the president  in the next election particularly that the Democrats are in hiding. Just a thought.

Extortion...

Sex-related extortion rose 30 percent in the U.K. in the last year alone, the National Crime Agency said.
The nature of the sextortion  seems to be changing. Young men are the main victims, and are increasingly being targeted by individuals, especially by females.

Victims are befriended on dating apps including Tinder and Grinder, and then blackmailed when they share photos or information that may be embarrassing.
Extortionists demanding money from men/ women by using threats to report their requests for explicit photos to police or their sexual practices to family members.

The criminals are often acting alone, but investigators found that the crimes were mostly carried out by overseas organized groups.
