New Year resolution...

The year 2014 is the year of health. The most important basis to our life is having a good health.

Weight control is the goal for many  but so difficult to achieve. Overweight is a contributor factor to many serious diseases.

Yet in many cases we attempt to mask the symptoms rather than deal with the causes of health problems.

The coming few short articles are an attempt to simplify the process.  It may help.

The Invisible...

The Good Samaritan"  theory was established more than 2000 years ago.

Adam Smith published his theory of economics "the invisible hand" in 1776. A free market where you buy what you want and others manufacture what they want the way they like. This will help the society where all benefit.

To avoid having extra supply in one location, roads, trucks, railroads, ...etc. were built.

Now the demand on potato's equal the supply in Idaho as well as in New York. More profit to the grower and to the market.

In the process, a new class of people fell off the wagon, and landed in the bottom of the society. The society and the individuals have responsibilities towards the less fortunate. 

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, "I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

So  "promise you wouldn't forget me... ever" Just a thought.

The suspended Yankees player will see out a season-long suspension - longest ever sentence dealt in a drug case in the history of baseball.

He never denied, under oath, the charges against him and never took the stand in his own defense in front of baseball’s arbitrator.

One of the ugliest chapters in baseball history is finally over.  Some suggested that A-Rod's counsel played to his vanity, gave him terrible advice, made a fortune off him and doomed him to being the baseball pariah he will quickly discover he has become.

 

To end doping in sport and create an example for the young.... He should be paying back, the club, whatever money he made while under the influence. That should be in every player's contract.

A trader.

A jury convicted former SAC Capital Advisors manager Mathew ­Martoma on the most lucrative insider-trading scheme ever.

He held meetings with a neurologist to gain inside information on an experimental Alzheimer's drug. 

By 2008, the fund sold million of shares of Elan, and Wyeth.  It also profited by shorting the stock. He got a bonus 9.3 million on the deal.

Years earlier, Mathew Martoma forged a Harvard transcript (B+ to A), falsified an email, and created a dummy forensic computing company to try to cover his tracks. He was expelled from Law school. Then he changed his name.

He was convicted by twelve juror of ordinary people. Ironic

“ the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.”

Fort Lee- Part 3.

From the available information of the Traffic Jam, one can conclude the following:

*It is an intentional act against people of Fort Lee
*This act is in retaliation against the Democratic Mayor and the people of Fort Lee
*This act focused on disturbing the daily life by closing the lanes on the GWB. *While a trip to NY would take 30 minutes, a 4 hours delay occurred.
*The bridge closing duration is 4 days.
*The plan to close bridge lanes has been in place and only a brief email triggered the act.
*The players of this act, NJ governor's top aides, were far away from the seen to create some innocent claims that we weren't involved or caused it.
*While Chris Christie denied any knowledge of the matter, some may not believe it.
*The actors planned not to get pinned on it or leave finger prints.
*The republican machines started defending their guy by all means.

 Just a thought

NB: People are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law. Reserve judgment. 

Fort Lee- Part 2

 "He who digs a pit will fall into it, And he who rolls a stone, it will come back on him".

A lawsuit was filed on Thursday, after released emails that appeared to show the Republican governor's staff plotting a massive traffic jam in September 2013, seemingly to retaliate against the Democratic mayor of Fort Lee. 

The lawsuit intends to represent all "those individuals and business owners who reside, work or own businesses in Northern New Jersey and who were caused to sustain injury, or economic damages and loss of liberty as the result of the conduct" of the defendants

What goes around comes around.

Fort Lee-Part 1

For four hot summer days, the people of fort Lee suffered from extra traffic jams off the bridge. This is in addition to the rush hour and other bridge traffic congestion on a daily basis.

American citizens of Fort lee, commute to New York across GWB for work and business. They pay bridge tolls, gas, car insurances, taxes in NY, and NJ. They are endowed by their creator....... with life liberty and the pursuit of happiness like all citizens of this Country.

Fort lee residence have elected a democratic Mayor who didn't endorse the Governor for a second term. Their freedom to vote an elected official didn't sit well with top aids of governor Christie.

Not Knowing about the Aides conspiracy against the people of Fort Lee doesn't matter. They work for him, and followed his instructions for five years. Where does someone, paid by the tax payer, get the boldness to punish a whole population???

He fired his aides so quickly, yet we are not satisfied. We want the full story out. Once this happen, it is time for prosecution.

Hijacking the Arab Spring

People organized a peaceful marchs in  Cairo's Tahrir Square and similar other areas.  Police Brutality, State of Emergency, freedom of speech, corruption,  high unemployment, food price, wages were the issues. They ask for a regime change after 30 years.  Eighteen Days of marches, the regime collapsed.

The election between the old regime vs. the Brotherhood ended with the later as a winner.

The mandates voted for was ignored. Corruption became ramped, killing people for their religion, shooting at the police, mark houses and businesses to destroy. Burned  Churches and places of worship. Released thousands of criminals who belong to their organization. Conspire with foreign fighters to kill border patrols.

"We are in charge, we will do what we want".

 "America's Obama is bought and will look the other direction".

People went out again to the street. Few days later the Muslim Brotherhood regime collapsed.

While their terrorist activities continued, the MB cried to the US and EU, to return them to power and protect their human rights. Ironic...

Egypt interim government declared intolerance to violence, terrorist activities and band the Muslim Brotherhood as an organization and its charter and labled it as terrorist Organization.

The Arab Spring is no longer hijacked by militants.

The search for a better life continues under the watch eyes of the people.
