Gasoline..

The NYPD made a disturbing discovery inside a van that had been involved in an accident Tuesday night on a busy street in Manhattan near 42nd and 10th Avenue.

At first, the driver of the van tried to get rid of his keys and said he couldn't open the vehicle.

First responders noticed a strong smell of gasoline coming from the van and requested FDNY assistance.

Hazmat Units removed 76 20-pound propane cylinders, 15 5-gallon fuel containers for a total of 75 gallons of gasoline, and 10 gallons of diesel.

The driver was arrested and facing several charges, including reckless endangerment and multiple fire code violations.

Tips..

Like the House bill, the Senate bill would give certain workers an above-the-line deduction for “qualified tips” and “qualified overtime compensation” included on an information return furnished to the individual or reported on a Form 4137 (for tips) for taxable years beginning after December 31, 2024, and ending for taxable years beginning after December 31, 2028.

This means the deductions are proposed to be retroactive and proposed to apply to amounts paid even before enactment of the bill.

Making this deduction available to the worker creates reporting and withholding obligations for the service recipient.

In order to be deductible as qualified overtime compensation the payment must be overtime paid as required under section 7 of the Fair Labor Standards Act that is in excess of the regular rate (as used in that section) at which such individual is employed.

Qualified overtime compensation does not include any amount treated as a qualified tip.

Loony..

Globalize the Intifada’ is just one opinion in the big tent that is the Democratic Party, according to DNC Chairman Ken Martin.

He dismissed concerns over New York Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani's unwillingness to explicitly condemn the slogan, adding in an interview with PBS that the key to developing a winning coalition is through welcoming people with whom you disagree.

Mamdani has garnered backlash for refusing to condemn the phrase, which has become a rallying cry for anti-Israel protesters.

Comment:

Not to worry about Global Entefada, No private property, city providing food stores, defund the police,,...etc. The problem with Mamdani is what he didn't say yet. Just a thought.

Corrupt..

Former Interim NYPD Commissioner Thomas Donlon filed an explosive federal lawsuit Wednesday, alleging that Mayor Eric Adams and department leaders function as a criminal “racketeering” enterprise.

Donlon said the officials’ efforts to consolidate power and punish dissent included manipulating the department’s Internal Affairs Bureau to block probes, promoting unqualified but politically connected officers — including by forging his approval using his official commissioner’s stamp — and retaliating against him by sidelining him and even falsely arresting his wife.

This lawsuit is not a personal grievance. It is a statement against a corrupt system that betrays the public, silences truth, and punishes integrity,” Donlon said in a statement.

Whining

Arrested by ICE.

The new young Democrats coming in, they said actually something very similar to what Obama said," Fox News contributor and political commentator Brett Cooper told "America’s Newsroom" on Tuesday.

"They said it's time to start actually having solutions and to stop whining about what Republicans are doing and actually try to compete with them."

There are a slew of young Democratic hopefuls looking to unseat older lawmakers. 25-year-old social media influencer and progressive activist Deja Foxx is among those young candidates with a chance at claiming a House seat.

Man

The Democratic party not sure where to go or what to do. So they go after ICE. Sending some congressmen or women to the detention center or walk with illegal immigrants out of court sessions thinking that they are protecting some illegals.  That didn't help. The Congress team, some got arrested, etc. That was referred to as theater from some Democrats.

Before that the party opposed DOGE. As if to protect the tremendous waste in many of government programs. Then the Tariffs...

So what can a party do differently to show that they are much better at this time?
  Just a thought.

Skirting..

Incumbent Big Apple Mayor Eric Adams demanded Columbia University release Zohran Mamdani’s admission records in which the Democratic socialist candidate identified as Asian and African American — before he became a US citizen.

In another portion of the application — which was ultimately rejected — that allowed him to elaborate on his identity, Mamdani clarified that he was Ugandan.

Adams was appalled by Mamdani’s actions, especially for skirting around the system in “an insult to every student who got into college the right way.”

That's only the beginning.

Yessica..

A HORSE clinic receptionist is accused of grand theft after being accidentally overpaid $400,000 in veterinarian checks.

Yessica Arrua, 29, from Wellington, Florida, was arrested after allegedly keeping the cash and spending more than half on shopping and transfers to her family.

She allegedly did not report the overpayment to the clinic, instead spending the money at stores like Coach, Michael Kors, furniture shops and restaurants, according to the report.

It added that thousands of dollars were sent through Zelle to a person nicknamed “Mama Dukes”, while $80,000 was used to buy a food truck for a friend of her mother’s.

Cuts..

Democrats are banking on backlash to Republicans’ Medicaid cuts to boost them in next year's midterms. There's just one problem: The cuts haven't happened yet.
Republicans delayed work requirements until 2027 and financing changes until 2028. They also frontloaded their One Big Beautiful Bill Act with tax breaks that voters are likely to see sooner.
“If we say ‘they took it from you,’ but it hasn’t happened yet, it just complicates it,” said California-based Democratic strategist Doug Herman.
That’s leaving some Democrats concerned that their Medicaid-focused messaging might not hit home before November 2026 and blunt their efforts to use the backlash to President Donald Trump’s signature legislative achievement to fuel a Democratic wave next year.
But Democrats are still forging ahead with making Republicans’ Medicaid reductions a central theme of their midterms messaging.
