Napping..

Chelsie Rohrscheib, Ph.D., head sleep expert and neuroscientist at sleep testing firm Wesper, told Newsweek that studies suggest that how napping affects your health depends on the situation.

People who are generally healthy and have good quality sleep at night tend to benefit from short naps during the day. These individuals have improved brain cardiac health and may live longer.

Power naps, around 10-20 minutes long, can improve cognitive function, mood, and productivity, and provide an energy boost.

According to Web MD, short naps can be better than caffeine when you need to concentrate but are feeling too tired.

Moreover, they help reduce stress, improve your immune health, lower blood pressure after going through mental stress, and help your body recover from pressure-filled situations. They also help boost your creativity as well as regulate your night sleep.

Spent..

Embattled Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ use of funds came under the microscope at a Georgia state Senate Special Committee hearing Friday.

Republican Sen. Bill Cowsert asked financial officers about numerous “enhancement requests” for extra money Willis has made, including one for roughly a million dollars in 2023 for general trial expenses.

Wade and Willis had been in a romantic relationship, and a judge ruled one had to step down from the case, resulting in Wade quitting.

Elsewhere during the meeting, Cowsert criticized Willis for the amount of money spent on prosecuting the Trump case rather than tackling the county’s backlog of criminal cases, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Boobs..

Trish Webster, an Australian woman, died from a severe stomach illness after using Ozempic to lose weight for her daughter's wedding. Her husband warns that the drug is 'not worth it at all.' REUTERS.

rapid weight loss triggered by this class of drugs - referred to as glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1) - can leave users with loose, sagging or wrinkled skin.
This has lead to the coining of terms like "Ozempic face" and "Ozempic butt", although losing weight quickly by any other method could alter people's appearance in the same way.
Now, women are reporting a side effect dubbed "Ozempic breasts".
Most of us would jump to the conclusion that these women's boobs responded to weight loss drugs in the same way as people's bums and faces did, shrinking in size and sagging.

Flawed..

Georgia 's highest court on Tuesday threw out an indictment that charged a former police chief and a top aide with felonies for failing to investigate allegations of misconduct within their department.

The Georgia Supreme Court ruled that the 2021 indictment against former Glynn County Police Chief John Powell and Brian Scott, his former chief of staff, was fatally flawed by technical errors.

The decision could mark the end of efforts to prosecute Powell and Scott. Oath violation charges against both men were dismissed by the trial judge in September 2020, and prosecutors indicted them a second time almost a year later. Georgia law prohibits indicting the same person more than twice for the same “offense, charge, or allegation.”

Comment:

What does this mean?  Rush to prosecute?

Just ahead of its blowout first-quarter earnings report on April 25, Google laid off at least 200 employees from its "Core" teams, in a reorganization that will include moving some roles to India and Mexico, CNBC has learned.
The Core unit is responsible for building the technical foundation behind the company's flagship products and for protecting users' online safety, according to Google's website
Core teams include key technical units from information technology, its Python developer team, technical infrastructure, security foundation, app platforms, core developers, and various engineering roles.
