Pump the Brake..

State Democratic lawmakers are trying to pump the brakes on the Hochul administration’s “nearly impossible” green-energy rule requiring more new large trucks to be emissions-free.

The proposal, pushed by state Sen. Jeremy Coney Cooney (D-Rochester) and Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo (D-Binghamton), would postpone the start of the Democratic governor’s edict until at least Jan. 1, 2027.

The legislators said the green edict promoting electric and even hydrogen-powered trucks is wreaking havoc on an important industry.

“Unfortunately, the ACT regulations are nearly impossible for the trucking industry to comply with because of a lack of truck charging infrastructure, cost factors, and other challenges,” Lupardo said in a memo supporting her bill.

Causative..

Upping your physical activity level may lower your risk of developing neuropsychiatric diseases such as anxiety, depression and dementia, according to new preliminary research.

And the protection for your brain applies no matter how intense your exercise is, “highlighting the importance of regular movement in promoting mental health,” said lead study author Dr. Jia-Yi Wu, a researcher at Huashan Hospital at Fudan University in Shanghai, China.

Researchers analyzed accelerometer data from more than 73,000 adults with an average age of 56 years old to compare their amount of physical activity with instances of neuropsychiatric diseases, according to the abstract published.

The results have strengthened by the large sample size, the reliability of accelerometer data, and the large body of work supporting a strong connection between exercise and improved outcomes for conditions that affect the brain, said Dr. Scott Russo, Leon Levy Director of the Brain and Body Research Center at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. He was not involved in the research.

“In this case, there’s so much data, both correlative and causative … that I’m pretty confident,” Russo said.

Depression..

The data showed that increasing physical activity and lowering sedentary time was helpful for conditions such as dementia and depression, and that isn’t a big surprise.  Some studies have shown that exercise is as effective against depression as medications.

To understand why exercise may be so helpful, it’s important to note that some researchers are starting to think of depression as not just one condition, but a collection of subtypes with different causes.

About 25% to 30% of people with major depressive disorder may fall under the immunometabolism subtype, which is characterized by inflammation and altered metabolic function.

Exercise may help to regulate the metabolic function and lower the inflammation behind this subtype of depression.

“That could be an effective way to treat patients with this particular subtype,” Researcher indicated.

Sorry..

Since taking office in January, U.S. President Donald Trump has paused U.S. military aid to Ukraine as well as intelligence-sharing with Kyiv.

He has accused Zelenskiy of not being serious about reaching a peace agreement with Russia, which invaded Ukraine three years ago and has seized about 20% of its territory.

Comment:

Why did Biden's Administration provided weapons of destruction, cluster bombs, that Human rights opposed it due to it's impacts on civilians years after the war ends.

Why providing hundred of billions of dollars and share intelligence with the Ukraine's.?

No wonder Zelensky is not welling to end the war as he thinks the US and Europe are behind him.   Just a thought.

Late..

Machine..

Yoyo..

The Media lost its mind and went crazy the minute this president mentioned tariff. Yak yak back and forth. This will cause this and that. Some say recession, others say good for our National Security ....
Just a thought.
