Iraq War..

About half a million people died in Iraq as a result of war-related causes between the US-led invasion in 2003 and mid-2011, an academic study suggests.
Claims about Saddam's weapons of mass destruction were a primary justification for the war, but U.S. forces have yet to find any such weapons.
Mr. Bush said in his address to Congress that the British government had learned that Saddam recently sought significant quantities of uranium in Africa.
The president's statement in the State of the Union was incorrect because it was based on forged documents from the African nation of Niger, White House spokesman Ari Fleischer.
Fresh evidence has been revealed about how MI6 and the CIA were told through secret channels by Saddam Hussein's foreign minister and his head of intelligence that Iraq had no active weapons of mass destruction.

Yuan..

Iraq’s Interior Ministry placed a ban on U.S. dollar transactions across the country in a move to strengthen the Iraqi Dinar.

The country wants to control the fluctuating black market exchange rate that plagued forex prices for Chinese Yuan and USD. The move will also help boost its native currency as the U.S. dollar will take a step back nationwide.

The decision to ban the dollar comes at a time when Iraq expressed its interest to join the BRICS alliance. Iraq would accept the soon-to-be-released BRICS currency to settle international trade and sideline the USD.

This new policy will have tremendous impact on the dollar as per many economists. In the process weaponization of the dollar and the sanctions on many country will have a diminish effect on these countries. The desire to own the dollar will be less.

 Just a thought.

Space..

After making remarks introducing the forty-sixth president, the actress-turned-activist handed the microphone over to Biden, who promptly grabbed hold of Longoria and looked like he nearly groped the uncomfortable-looking actress.

This, as President Biden made the bizarre comment that he’d known Longoria for years—the two, according to Biden, had first met when he was 40 and she was 17. Biden’s story was inaccurate. Had he been 40 when he first met Longoria, she would have been a mere seven years old.

These two events sparked outrage on Right-wing social media sites.

The weird brushing up of Longoria, followed by the sleazy comments, reinforced the notion that Joe Biden is an old creep.

Of course, he is. Look, this is a man who clearly has no concept of personal space.

Bepedoic A..

A new pill is as effective at reducing cholesterol as statins, according to new research. Scientists say the medication, called bepedoic acid, will provide an alternative for patients who are unable to tolerate the popular drugs.
Million take statins to reduce the risk of heart attacks, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases. But some suffer undesirable side effects including severe muscle and joint pain, headaches and stomach problems.
The U.S. team analyzed data from the CLEAR Outcomes Trial, which enrolled 13,970 statin-intolerant patients. The main results released in March found that bempedoic acid lowered LDL cholesterol levels on average by 21%.
It also reduced cardiovascular events, including heart attack, stroke, and procedures to open blocked blood vessels to the heart by 13%.

2023 will go down in the history books as the year America lost faith in its banks.

Over the course of a few weeks in the spring of 2023, multiple high-profile regional banks suddenly collapsed: Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), Signature Bank, and First Republic Bank. These banks weren’t limited to one geographic area, and there wasn’t one single reason behind their failures. [cost of 400 billion dollars.]

The news roiled the financial markets, pummeled the banking industry, and unsettled the public. Fears mounted that financial contagion was underway, which happens when a problem in one sector spreads to other areas of an economy, country, or region—with disastrous consequences.
