Dark .

High inflation is making Americans unhappy, and the Federal Reserve must step up its campaign to get prices back under control, a top Fed official said Monday.

"This inflation we're seeing is very bad for low and moderate-income households," St. Louis Federal Reserve President James Bullard told CNBC. "Real wages are declining. People are unhappy. Consumer confidence is declining. This is not a good situation."

Bullard, who has been more worried about high inflation than some of his colleagues, noted the central bank has been caught off guard by the spike in prices.

We have to reassure people we are going to defend our inflation target and we are going to get inflation back to 2%," Bullard said, noting that consumer prices soared in January by 7.5% from the year before.

Biden started the ball rolling with cancelling the keystone Pipeline and suspend drilling in Federal land. Listening to the far leftist desire to take this country to their dark place.

Facts..

Ukraine appeared to offer a major concession.

Ukraine’s ambassador to Britain told the BBC on Sunday that it could drop its bid to join NATO — raising eyebrows in Europe and Washington.

So here is the real story. NATO wants to surround and discredit Russia. In the same time, NATO countries need oil and natural gas from Russia.

All this came crashing down as the Russian forces showed its power. Then USA-Germany, and other European Countries moved quickly to avoid this chaos.

Ukraine, European countries, and USA in a world of high Inflation, and expected recession.

This Ukraine request supported by other foolish countries is practically committing self-destruction.  Just a thought.

Left..

Democratic lawmakers and party officials are beginning to cast blame on one another for the failure of the Build Back Better legislation championed by the left wing and pushed by President Biden's administration.

In a Los Angeles Times story, Democrats voiced frustration and confusion at the rhetoric used by Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and the White House, particularly chief of staff Ron Klain.

The senatorial skepticism toward Schumer and Biden's strategy has not been a sudden turn. Several Democrats have spoken off the record against the Democratic political veteran and his compatriots in the White House.

Last month, Politico reported enormous frustration among Democratic staffers on Capitol Hill at Schumer and his perceived pandering to progressive fringes of the party.

Grave..

President Joe Biden spent the weekend leading what is looking like an increasingly desperate final effort to forestall a Russian invasion of Ukraine -- an incursion that could have grave consequences for his own political standing.

If President Vladimir Putin orders his tanks into Russia's smaller, neighbor, he would send shockwaves around the world and trigger one of the worst and most dangerous national security crises since the Cold War.

And while it is not his prime intention, Putin would cause significant damage to Biden's prestige and inflict real-time consequences on Americans in an already tense midterm election year -- including with likely new hikes to already soaring gasoline prices that often act as an index of voter anger and perceptions about the economy.

A Russian invasion will have a significant domestic blowback inside the United States in a way that would impose more economic pain and ultimately hurt the prospects of Biden and his Democrats in November's elections.

The President promised Ukrainian President that the US would impose measures that would "swiftly and decisively" punish Russia. This response would transform American foreign policy and add yet another crisis to Biden's crowded plate. Just a thought.

Gift..

Three people were shot and wounded at a baby shower in Pennsylvania Saturday evening after an argument over gifts, Lower Burrell Police Chief John Marhefka said in a press briefing.

Police officers were dispatched to the Kinloch Volunteer Fire Department in Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania, shortly after 6 p.m. for a shooting inside the fire hall.

"This was not an active shooter event, but rather an isolated family incident during a baby shower," he said.

A preliminary investigation showed the incident began as a family argument about gifts at the baby shower. It escalated into a physical fight and then gunfire when the "suspect introduced a nine-millimeter semiautomatic handgun" and fired three shots into the crowd of about 25 friends and family, the chief said.

Guns..

Hunter Robinson, 16, was arraigned Saturday on robbery and grand larceny charges for a Jan. 6 incident in which he and four others accused of firing gunshots that hit an NYPD cop — allegedly stole a fellow student’s wallet, phone, coat and shoes, then whacked him in the face with a gun.

The violent group lured the victim into a stairwell before one of them pointed a gun in his face and another brandished a gun and struck him in the face with it, according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.

Judge Jackson flatly told the prosecutor, “I can’t understand why you are not asking for some form of monetary bail in a case as serious as this.

The prosecutor represents the People of the State, but the tie appears to be changed to the benefit of some.

Equal Justice, illegal guns rule the street, and the new progressive democrat's safe street initiatives are at work.  Just a thought.

Improvement..

One-fifth of Americans believe that President Biden will be a successful president in the long run, according to new poll results released.

The survey, conducted by the Pew Research Center, found that 20 percent of participants believe that Biden will be a successful president in the long run, compared to 43 percent who believe he will be an unsuccessful president and 37 percent of Americans who said it was too early to tell.

The poll, which was conducted between Jan. 10 and Jan. 17, indicated a drop in how Americans viewed the president last year around this time.

At this time last year, 29 percent of people thought Biden would be a successful president in the long run, compared to 26 percent who said he would be unsuccessful. The poll noted at the time that 44 percent felt it was too early to tell.

Democrat or Republican, why is this President is not doing well? May be he can't say no to the Far-Left Democrats?  Just a thought.

Whip..

Corruption..

Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu appeared before a Jerusalem court Sunday to hear the criminal charges leveled against him in what was an unprecedented scene in the history of Israel.

Netanyahu, who was indicted on corruption charges in November, is the first sitting prime minister to be charged with a crime and to appear as a defendant in court. His predecessor, Ehud Olmert, resigned a decade ago ahead of a corruption indictment that later sent him to prison for 16 months.

Netanyahu, 70, has been charged with one count of bribery and three counts of fraud and breach of trust in three long-running corruption cases. He denies any wrongdoing and says he is the victim of a politically orchestrated "witch hunt."

Breach of trust, huh. What does this look like? Something like Nursing home coverup in NYS. Or not even investigate the issue?

Is that because the Democrats investigate only the Inserection?

Leave..

The 160 soldiers of the Florida National Guard deployed to Ukraine since November have been ordered by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to leave Ukraine amid increasing concern of a Russian attack, according to Pentagon spokesman John Kirby.

The soldiers, assigned to the 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, have been ordered to reposition elsewhere in Europe, according to Kirby in a media release. They have been advising and mentoring Ukrainian forces as part of Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine.
