Image result for someone thinking

Experts estimate that the mind thinks between 60,000 – 80,000 thoughts a day. That’s an average of 2500 thoughts per hour.
If you pay attention to these thoughts, you would be amazed to discover that most of them are useless thoughts that pass through the mind with a huge speed.

These are words, comments, questions, answers and a lot of senseless wandering thoughts that you might not even be aware of.
If you have experience with meditation, you would have proof of the great number of thoughts passing through your mind. It’s just like being a very busy train station or airport terminal, where a great number of people come and go.
You also get proof of the endless stream of thoughts when you try to study, solve a problem or make a plan. Suddenly, you become aware of the many irrelevant thoughts claiming for your attention.

Pass the torch," Rep. Eric Swalwell told former Vice President Joe Biden two weeks ago. But if he does, Swalwell won't be around to take the handoff.
The longshot 2020 candidate, who tried to make a name for himself on cable news shows as the voice of a younger political generation, dropped out of the race for the 2020 Democratic presidential
"Today ends our presidential campaign, but it is the beginning of an opportunity in Congress with a new perspective shaped by the lives that have touched mine and our campaign throughout these last three months to bring that promise of America to all Americans," Swalwell told reporters at a press conference.

Swalwell ran with gun control at the center of his platform. So it ends.

A pharmacist who allegedly verified nearly 750,000 prescriptions over 10 years1 is receiving a good deal of attention from real pharmacists, as well as the public.

Kim Thien Le worked at 3 Walgreens locations in California, allegedly using the pharmacist license number of a similarly named individual. In addition to filling prescriptions, including more than 100,000 for controlled substances/narcotics, she is accused of counseling patients, administering immunizations and supervising staff, among other pharmacist duties.1

Le once was licensed as a pharmacy technician, but her license expired in 2008. A Walgreens representative told the Los Angeles Times that “Le’s employment ended in October 2017, and since the complaint was filed, the chain had undertaken a re-verification of all of its pharmacists’ licenses nationwide.”2

A routine visit by state pharmacy investigators to the Fremont Walgreens uncovered some controlled substances prescriptions that were dispensed without the required security measures, according to the California Board of Pharmacy complaint

Federal agents descended on the suburban Maryland house with the flash and bang of a stun grenade, blocked off the street and spent hours questioning the homeowner about a theft of government documents that prosecutors  described as “breathtaking” in its scale.

The suspect, Harold Martin, was a contractor for the National Security Agency. His arrest followed news of a devastating disclosure of government hacking tools by a mysterious internet group calling itself the Shadow Brokers. It seemed to some that the United States might have found another Edward Snowden, who also had been a contractor for the agency.

The case against Martin is scheduled to be resolved in Baltimore’s federal court. But the identity of the Shadow Brokers, and the leak with national security implications, will remain a public mystery.

The DA race flipped on its head Wednesday night when Katz unexpectedly took the lead by a mere 20 votes after some 6,000 paper ballots were counted.

Lawyer for Katz said the shifting narrative on how many ballots should be counted shows Cabán’s campaign is only interested in getting votes for her counted while "stoking conspiracy theories” about an establishment takeover.

Lawyers for Cabán said they believe another 114 ballots should be counted that were invalidated because voters had failed to list their party affiliation.

The fate of those votes will be decided in Queens Supreme Court, where lawyers for both sides will square off Tuesday.
