Taxes...

Image result for crowded subway train

Mayor Bill de Blasio plans to push for a tax on wealthy New Yorkers to pay for improvements needed to address the crisis engulfing New York City’s subway.

His funding push comes as the subway faces a multitude of problems, and leaders at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority have called on Mr. de Blasio to provide more money for the system.

Day after day, subway riders in New York City have voiced a steady drumbeat of grievances as the century-old system has descended into disarray.  Trains are unreliable.

Rush hour malfunctions paralyze the city. When a train derailed in Manhattan, injuring dozens of people, it raised concerns over whether the subway was even safe.

DeBlasio has no answer to this problem. His suggestion should have been 3 years ago to be considered.  No More Taxes. Do with what been taxed already.

Irma was a true disaster

As Hurricane Irma battered Florida, the cream of the insurance world – gathered under the Mediterranean sun in Monte Carlo assessing the costs of the storm for the global industry.

But at this early stage, the damages are not expected to be so excessive that they hit insurers’ capital base in a way that would lift slumping insurance prices or hurt their credit ratings.

Estimated that insured losses for the global industry would total between $20 billion and $30 billion, which would put the storm on a similar scale to Hurricane Sandy, in New York in 2012.

The insurance companies are well protected by their policies and experiences of the region. However people are the one who will carry the heavy cost of being in this region.   Just a thought.

Employees at Motel 6 locations in Phoenix have ceased working with U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agents in light of a new report that revealed motel staffers were reporting guests who appear to be undocumented immigrants.

Raiza Rehkoff, public relations for the motel, told HuffPost that staff members were working with ICE without the approval of senior management.

Rehkoff did not respond whether Motel 6 condemned the employees actions.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have arrested at least 20 people at Motel 6s in Phoenix, Arizona, in a pattern that's led local immigration attorneys to be concerned.

Chaos...

Image result for Hillary's book publisher

Hillary Clinton champions wars to effectuate regime change.

She supported the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998.  Saddam’s successors proved a cure worse than the disease. Shiite dominated governments allied with Iran, oppressed Sunnis, Kurds, and Turkmen, and created a power vacuum that gave birth to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

As Secretary of State in 2011, Ms. Clinton vocally supported the war against Libya to overthrow Muammar Gaddafi on the heels of his abandonment of weapons of mass destruction.

She boasted with arrogance  “We came, we saw, he died.” She insisted that regime change in Libya was for humanitarian purposes.

Libya predictably descended into dystopia after Gaddafi’s murder. (It had no democratic cultural, historical, or philosophical credentials). Tribal militias proliferated. Competing governments emerged. ISIS entered into the power vacuum in Sirte, which has required the return of United States military forces to Libya. Terrorists murdered our Ambassador and three other Americans in Benghazi. Gaddafi’s conventional weapons were looted and spread throughout the Middle East. Hundreds of thousands of refugees have fled and are continuing to flee Libyan shores for Europe. North Korea and Iran hardened their nuclear ambitions to avoid Gaddafi’s grisly fate.

What a record of creating chaos everywhere she can. That is why.

The New York Times reports that Hillary Clinton's published, Simon & Schuster, isn't likely to sell enough books to make back her hefty advance.

Some reports claim Hillary Clinton received a $14 million advance for her most recent book, Hard Choices.

Sales of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s new memoir, 'Hard Choices,' declined 43.5 percent to 48,000 copies in its second week on the shelves, according to Nielsen BookScan," the Times reports.

The sales figures put pressure on the publisher which paid Mrs. Clinton a multimillion-dollar advance to write about her time at the State Department and has invested heavily in the book’s rollout, one of the biggest of the year.

I wonder if the memoir is honest about Iraq-Syria-Libya- Egypt and Russia.

All participated in the destruction of another country, Syria. In the process, the minorities are devastated, terrorism enhanced and expanded, women are mistreated and sold to fighters, 10 Million refugees, and a generation with no hope for tomorrow.
What goes around comes around much sooner. Just a thought.
