Cheslie..

Cheslie Kryst, who won the Miss USA sash in 2019, has died after a fall from her high-rise Manhattan apartment building. She was 30.

Her family confirmed “Her great light was one that inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength,” it read.

Suicide affects all ages. It is the second leading cause of death for people ages 10-34, the fourth leading cause among people ages 35-44, and the fifth leading cause among people ages 45-54.3

Suicide rates vary by race/ethnicity, age, and other factors. The highest rates are among American Indian/Alaska Native and non-Hispanic White populations.3 Other Americans with higher than average rates of suicide are veterans, people who live in rural areas, and workers in certain industries and occupations like mining and construction.5,6 Young people who are lesbian, gay, or bisexual have a higher rate of suicidal ideation and behavior compared to their peers who identify as straight.

Costly..

Going out is not only less common these days, it's also a lot more expensive. In general, the prices that consumers pay for goods and services recently notched their largest year-over-year jump since 1982.

Gas prices, alone, are up a whopping 58.1% over the past year, and that's just to get to where you are going.

A table for two isn't what it used to be, either. Restaurants, which have been under pressure since the very start of the pandemic, are charging more for meals to combat ongoing staffing challenges and higher food costs.

Most have had to raise wages to attract workers on top of paying more for ingredients and that means menu prices look a little different now. Just a "costly" thought.

Red Light..

Amsterdam was voted the second-best city in the world by Time Out in 2021, and around 2.5 million people from across the world visit the city every year, according to Dutch Art Institute.

The city is arguably best known for its Red Light District. This neighborhood is often visited by "nuisance tourists," which the city's government website says are often British men between the ages of 18 and 34, according to The Independent.

They've been known to visit the neighborhood for bachelor parties or to visit sex workers in the famous red-light windows.

On the other side of the world, in 2020, the Bourough of the Bronx had a violent crime rate of 663.15 incidents per 100,000 residents. Out of the 100 most populous cities in the United States, the Bronx's violent crime rate is the 46th highest in the nation

Long Beach, Reno, Pittsburgh, Seattle and Las Vegas all have similar violent crime rates as the Bronx.

What is the reason of this violence in one place, and no violence on the other? Frustrated young people? Just a "peaceful" thought.

Bite .

The crowd erupted in applause after Trump asked if they wanted to hear the song, which he referred to as a poem.

The 1968 soul hit, which was sung by Al Wilson, a Black man, is about a "tender-hearted woman" who saw "a poor half-frozen snake" and took it in.

The woman "wrapped him up all cozy in a coverture of silk" and "laid him by the fireside with some honey and some milk."

When the woman returned, the snake was "revived" but "instead of saying thanks, that snake gave her a vicious bite (ooh)," the lyrics continue.

When the woman cries and asks the snake why he bit her, the snake replies that she knew he was a snake before she took him in.

"And that's what's happening to the United States of America with immigration," Trump said. "I think it's pretty accurate, do you agree?

Amnesia..C..

DeSantis specifically called out Psaki for saying Florida hadn't done enough to distribute money to help keep schools open during the latest COVID-19 wave.

"Are you kidding me? I remember them criticising me when we did this almost two years ago," DeSantis said of Democrats who slammed his decision to open schools in the fall of 2020. "We were the only big state to have every school open for in person, and we did that way before Biden was even president. We didn't need the Biden stimulus money for that."

Many Democrats facing reelection have come around to fewer restrictions, too, and the Biden administration has said schools should stay open despite the latest COVID-19 wave.

Florida was one of the only states to push schools to re-open in person during the coronavirus pandemic while others held only virtual classes, leading to frustrations between teacher's unions, elected officials, and families. The topic has become a lighting rod issue ahead of the 2022 midterm elections, with Republicans seeing fewer COVID-19 restrictions as a winning message for bringing for bringing people to the polls. Just a 'fair' thought.

Phew!..

Explained..

Polls..

Need..

Rule..

President Biden and his legal team have spent a year preparing for this moment: the chance to make good on his pledge to name the first Black woman to the Supreme Court at a time of continuing racial reckoning for the country.

I thought choosing the color first is a colossal mistake. The President should announce that he will choose a highly qualified individual whatever color or gender,.. etc.

For the President to start with the choice of color, will cause so much debate, agreement and disagreement from his party and the others.

In real, the President needs to get credit for his poorly function administration. Just a "color blind" thought.

Get up..

Amnesia..a

One year after this Biden's administration is in the White House office, Brent crude futures, the international oil benchmark, topped $90 on Wednesday for the first time in more than seven years. The threshold breakthrough comes amid growing geopolitical tensions between Russia and USA as supply remains tight. All this is of our WHite House's action. It has nothing to do with free market.

While in 2020 the oil industry_ U.S. oil prices went negative for the first time on record. In a matter of hours on April 20, the May 2020 contract futures price for West Texas Intermediate (WTI) plummeted from $18 a barrel to around -$37 a barrel.1

Brent crude oil prices also tumbled, closing at $9.12 a barrel on April 2020, a far cry from the $70 a barrel crude oil fetched at the beginning of the year 2021.

Late..

President Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser expressed optimism that the omicron surge that has pushed Covid-19 infections and hospitalizations to records will soon peak, though that decline won’t be uniform throughout the U.S.“Things are looking good,”

The Biden administration will begin making 400 million N95 masks available for free to Americans starting this week. Nearly a week after the Biden administration announced it will deploy 400 million free N95 masks to the public, the high-quality face coverings are starting to arrive at pharmacies and grocery stores.

By then free test kits will be sent to you at home by Mid February 2022. These are needed on December 20th.

This is a "90" day late, and a "wasteful "Dollar short.

Sublineage..

There are already dozens of cases across almost half of the U.S. of a new Covid subvariant that's even more contagious than the already highly transmissible omicron variant.

Nearly half of U.S. states have confirmed the presence of BA.2 with at least 127 known cases nationwide as of Friday, according to a global data base that tracks Covid variants. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in a statement Friday, said although BA.2 has increased in proportion to the original omicron strain in some countries, it is currently circulating at a low level in the U.S.

The new sublineage doesn't appear to further reduce the effectiveness of vaccines against symptomatic infection, according to the U.K. Health Security Agency.

Life..

If you want to live a long, healthy life, there's good evidence that getting enough fiber is key.

Foods rich in fiber, including plenty of carbohydrates, are featured prominently in diets in the Blue Zones, areas of the world where people live the longest, healthiest lives, according to research

Blue Zones represent a wide variety of cuisines, like Japanese, Greek, Italian, and Costa Rican. While the specific foods vary, common high-fiber foods groups like beans, nuts, whole grains, herbs, and green veggies make up the backbone of Blue Zones diets

Research suggests getting enough fiber is important for digestive health, stable blood sugar, and prevention of chronic illnesses like heart disease and cancer. Foods rich in fiber can also help with weight loss by keeping you full after eating.

War..

U.S.-backed Kurdish-led forces said they wrestled control of the last section of a prison controlled by Islamic State militants and freed a number of child detainees used as human shields.

It ended a weeklong assault by the extremists on one of the largest detention facilities in Syria.

Slowing..

Busted..

I think President Biden is not in control of his administration. His staff are pushed around to do or to act on things unattainable but count as failure.

I don't know if they are recognizing that things are not working, so why stepping into the abyss.

Just a thought.

Better..

Crime..

The Joe Biden Doctrine. Helping the American people with Food and Shelter. Just a thought.

Half..

The story of the Russian forces on the borders of the Country of Ukraine is incomplete. Nato wants to surround Russia with Missile bases right on the border. We keep giving them money, and in return they pay the President son millions of dollars as a consultant of something he didn't know to consult on.

We did that in the sixties, and in response, the Russian installed nuclear weapons in Cuba, the bay of Pigs story come to memory to those who can remember.

So the Biden's administration's amnesia continues to look for a way out of this failure, in their first year, right and left. Thus thalf story of the issue with the Ukraine.

let us add Russia to our friends, they provide Europe with oil and gas that we are shutting down, Amnesia is not good.   Just a thought.

Fleecing..

Michael Avenatti, the disgraced celebrity lawyer and fierce Donald Trump critic with the help of the Democratic Party and CNN, is scheduled to go on trial Monday in Manhattan for allegedly swindling ex-porn star Stormy Daniels out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

In August of 2018, the loudmouth lawyer forged Daniels’ signature on a letter that instructed her literary agent to forward advance money into a bank account he controlled, federal prosecutors allege.

Avenatti used the cash on day-to-day expenses, such as covering payroll for his law firm and a coffee company he owned, federal authorities allege.

He also spent the money on his luxury lifestyle, including a $3,900 monthly lease payment on a Ferrari and more than $20,000 on airfare, hotels, car services, restaurants and other expenses, the feds allege.    There may be other players in this saga.      Just a thought.

Malarkey..

A state judge struck down New York state's mask mandate Monday, ruling the governor and state Department of Health did not have the authority to enact such a mandate without approval from the legislature.

Despite the ruling, the state Education Department says schools "must continue to follow the mask rule."

New York's state legislature passed a bill in March limiting the governor's ability to issue emergency orders.

Then as coronavirus case numbers rose in December, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced a temporary mask mandate that required New Yorkers to wear a mask in all indoor public spaces unless businesses implement a vaccine requirement. State Health Commissioner Dr. Mary Bassett issued a determination solidifying the requirement.

The governor and health commissioner did not have the additional authority to order such a mandate, adding the mandate is now unenforceable.

When you don't have an authority and try to force others to do something, what is that called?

Timing..

The issue of Ukraine/Russia started right after the first year of President Biden's continue failure to do anything of good value for the American people. He was opposed by Democrats and Republicans.

All of a sudden look over there, a major problem of Dictatorship somewhere in the world.

No dictatorship here in this country!!!.

Many decisions were made deliberately have been reversed by the court system due to exceeding the authority. But then the politicians continue to pursue it knowingly that it had a bad taste.

In New York State, they gave the emergency authority to the Governor and he realy did his thing with the death of thousands of seniors in a shameful display of deliberate coverup. What was the outcome???

Mask-less..

The mandatory face mask rule will be lifted beginning on Thursday in England, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced on Wednesday.

Johnson said that, along with the face mask mandate, COVID-19 passports will no longer be required for large events and gatherings, such as at nightclubs and other venues, the BBC reported. Masks in schools are no longer required and people may return to offices for work.

"We will trust the judgment of the British people and no longer criminalize anyone who chooses not to wear one," he said.

Back to normal life. Just a "hopeful" thought.

Muddy..

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Sunday said President Biden cannot count on him to support "almost any" compromise social spending and climate package the Senate cobbles together, emphasizing that he must review the details of a proposal before deciding if he can vote for it.

Asked by moderator Chuck Todd on NBC's "Meet the Press" if Biden can count on his vote "with almost any compromise" the president arrives at with Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), Sanders said, "Absolutely not."

"You're going to have to look at what that so-called compromise is. If it's strong, if it protects the needs of working people, if it deals with climate, I'm there. But we have to look at the details of any proposal," he added

Democrats are now considering passing the legislation in sections that have support in the upper chamber. Sanders's comments, however, further muddy the water for Biden's chances of passing one of his marquee bills, putting the senator's support of a final compromise bill in question.

Rivera..

The widow of slain NYPD cop Jason Rivera posted a heartbreaking message to her 22-year-old newlywed husband on Instagram on Sunday — calling him “my beautiful angel.”

Rivera was killed Friday when he and his police partner, Officer Wilbert Mora, allegedly were ambushed by 47-year-old career criminal while responding to a domestic violence dispute, cops have said. A prayer is needed here. Just a thought.

Mora..

NYPD officer Wilbert Mora continues his fight for life this morning after being transferred to NYU Langone Health in Kips Bay.

A police procession accompanied the ambulance carrying Officer Mora Sunday night from Harlem Hospital, and a line of first responders saluted as he arrived on Manhattan's East Side.

The 27-year-old officer, a four-year veteran of the NYPD, suffered life-threatening injuries after being shot in the head Friday night in Harlem.

He was responding to a domestic dispute call with his partner, 22-year-old rookie Officer Jason Rivera.
Please say a prayer for this young man. Just a thought.

Cancel..

Chris Cuomo said he advised actor Alec Baldwin not to publicly speak out about cancel culture while the journalist's brother, Andrew Cuomo, was facing a sexual misconduct trial.

Beginning in late 2020, a scandal broke out for Andrew Cuomo, then the governor of New York, when he was accused of sexual misconduct. Chris Cuomo, the former CNN presenter, admitted to advising his brother amid the scandal and utilized his media connections to try to aid the politician.

In his testimony – video released on Thursday – the 51-year-old also revealed that he advised Baldwin, who knows both brothers, not to speak out on cancel culture amid the scandal.

The notion of cancel culture is a variant on the term call-out culture and constitutes a form of boycotting or shunning involving an individual (often a celebrity) who is deemed to have acted or spoken in an unacceptable manner.

Kyrsten..

The Democratic party has the majority in the Senate, with Senator Chuck Shumer the Majority Leader. However, the Power is in this Lady's hands and conscience.
As Arizona's senior Senator, Kyrsten Sinema works every day to deliver for Arizona families – helping veterans get the benefits they’ve earned, creating good–paying jobs, and keeping Americans safe.

Kyrsten feels a duty to serve and give back to the country that gave her so much. She got her shot at the American dream, and she’ll keep working to make sure all Arizonans get theirs too.

As the Biden's administration ends the first year in office with major problems and minor successes, a new issue came up which is Russia. Russia is doing ...  Just a thought.

Waste..

Fiasco..

At this time President Joe Biden is facing so many problems he promised to fix before becoming a president of the United States of America.

Starting with Covid Pandemic, and his promise to use scientific measure to end it for good. Since then 600,000 additional Covid death recorded on his watch.

With the pandemic in full swing for 2 years, with variety of instructions including test yourself repeatedly but one issue here, this Biden Administration was surprised by the new variant as no tests were available. Also, the Christmas time surprised this administration by coming right before the end of the year.

Comment:

Let us face it Sir, you didn't want this job to begin with. Your administration team are feeding you issues that are not accepted by the Supreme Court, by the Republicans and by many of your own party.

This team advising you, supporting you or practically pushing you to do things with oil production in the USA, and the result is beyond imagination. oil, gas, home heating tripled and is followed by inflation a vicious animal that will cause many dangerous consequences to the poor and middle-class citizens.

I'll bit many wished to blame someone else in this current, neverendig fiasco situation.

Just a "sad" thought.
