Awkward...

Image result for washington mall shooting 2016 church service

Authorities arrested,  Arcan Cetin, as he walked near his home in Oak Harbor, Washington. When officers confronted Cetin,  he froze and complied. The suspect was "calm and collected.
The suspect is a 20 y.o. Turkish immigrant with handful of arrests for assaulting his step father as well as DUI.

Four women and one man died in the shooting Friday night at a Macy's store at the Cascade Mall in Burlington, north of Seattle.  Cetin was taken into custody after a nearly 24-hour manhunt, authorities said.

Security footage showed the suspect entering the mall, apparently without a weapon. Footage from about 10 minutes later showed him entering Macy's with a rifle and firing "multiple times," reported.

Neighbors described the suspect as a young man who has gotten in trouble with the law several times, with three assault charges since 2015. Several of his former classmates described him as a socially awkward teenager who later was given to inappropriately touching female students.

Recent migrants did the same in Germany in New Year Eve.  Just a thought.

Image result for expression with women clothes

Students at the University of Arizona are cheering over the arrest of Dean Saxton, aka “Brother Dean”
A street preacher best known for hanging around the campus carrying a sign that says “You Deserve Rape” and yelling about how women deserve to be raped because they wear yoga pants and yoga pants are for SLUTS.

Shockingly, he is not exactly very popular on campus.    Saxton has been accused of kicking a woman in the chest (as Jesus surely would have done), and was not only arrested, but banned from the campus for one year.

Saxton was in the news when he was allegedly attacked by a 19-year-old woman while "using a megaphone to preach his beliefs to students at Apollo High School in Glendale."
Tabitha Brubaker was arrested by the Glendale Police Department and booked on an aggravated assault charge. Brubaker denied involvement in the bat attack, according to a police report.

FBI searching for men who found bomb on Chelsea sidewalk

The FBI released an image of the two men who found the unexploded bomb in Chelsea and left it unattended on the sidewalk  saying they are wanted for questioning.

The pair seen on West 27th Street removing the improvised explosive device from a duffel bag and then leaving with the luggage between 8 p.m. and 9 pm., according to authorities.

I think they were more interested in the bag than what they were taking out.”
Police officials insisted that the two men were simply being sought for questioning.
“They’re not in any trouble,” Waters said. “They’re witnesses at this time. They’re not in any jeopardy of being arrested.”

Come forward with the bag.   Just a thought.

    [Many Somali Migrants 2016 ]

A recent Minnesota college student and Somali immigrant – was identified as the man who randomly stabbed nine people in a St. Cloud mall while referring to Allah.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune said Adan’s father had identified him as the suspect and added that authorities executed search warrants at an apartment where Adan lived with his father. However, authorities have yet to formally identify the mall suspect.

    In July three Somali immigrants were convicted in Minnesota of plotting to join ISIS, says MPRNews. Yahoo News says nine Minnesota Somalis overall have been accused of plotting to join the Islamic State since 2014;

Donald Trump previously provoked criticism on the campaign trail when he quoted a Washington Times article that had called Minnesota a rich recruiting pool for ISIS due to its levels of Somali immigration, with some 30,000 Somali refugees.

Minnesota’s Somali community has condemned the attack. [after the attack]

CBS local says local charity groups and strong benefits helped attract Somali immigrants to Minnesota. Minnesota started seeing waves of Somali refugees in the early 1990s.

Is it a time to look at Immigration-Naturalization Problems and take a different approach?

    Jungle..

History tells us the 'Great Wall of Calais' is not fit for purpose

French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve announced this month plans to dismantle The Jungle [tent city] and disperse migrants to other sites throughout France. Part of the vast camp was closed earlier this year.
France and the U.K. are building a 13-foot-high wall to block the camp's 9,000 migrants from reaching a nearby highway or ferry port to hitch a ride across the English Channel. Britain is paying nearly $3 million for the half-mile-long concrete wall, which will start going up this month.
Many Migrants resigned to seeking French refugee status, but think brighter  future would be  living and working in the U.K.
Calais Mayor Natacha Bouchard said residents are pleased to see the tent city go, because it has left the town in “complete pain." But some locals said its closure would simply send the migrants to someone else’s backyard.
Boulogne and her husband moved from the Paris suburbs to retire in this quiet northern French city. Now they lock their doors at night for safety, claiming migrants have stolen everything in their backyard.
The migrants also caused disruptions at night, when groups of them go to the nearby highway to try boarding trucks heading to England.
"We cut trees and throw them onto the road," then set them on fire to slow down traffic, explained a 16 y.o., an Afghan who is one of an estimated 670 unaccompanied minors in the camp.

Lilian Hunt Trasher was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was raised Roman Catholic in Brunswick, Georgia. According to one account, her Quaker family had moved to the South after the Civil War.

While still in her late teens, Trasher attended Bible college for one term, and then worked at Faith Orphanage in North Carolina in 1908-1910, after she failed to get a reporting job that she wanted.

Deciding that her mission lay in Africa, she broke off the engagement ten days before the wedding after her prospective husband failed to share her call.

Trasher also taught at a second Bible school in South Carolina, pastored a Pentecostal church, and briefly travelled with an evangelist, but later returned to work again at the orphanage.

In 1910 after meeting Pastor Brelsford (or Perlsford) of Assiout, Egypt at a missionary conference, Trasher decided to defy her family's wishes and leave for that country.[3] Inspired as well by opening a bible to Acts 7:34, which referred to Egypt, Lilian and her sister Jennie sailed to Africa with less than 100 dollars in their pockets.

By the time she died in 1961, the Lillian Trasher Orphanage had grown to some 1200 children. Today, the institution is entirely the responsibility of the Assemblies of God of Egypt.

"Mama" Lillian lies buried on her orphanage's cemetery.

Federal Court Judge Robin Camp was a provincial court judge in a case involving a 19-year-old woman who said she was raped over a sink during a house party.
Camp asked the victim "why didn't you just sink your bottom down into the basin so he couldn't penetrate you" and "why couldn't you just keep your knees together?" He suggested if she moved her pelvis, she could have avoided him.
He also said, "wom[e]n want to have sex, particularly if they're drunk" and “sex and pain sometimes go together [...] that’s not necessarily a bad thing.”
Camp has since apologized and said he didn't receive training on sex assault cases prior to the case, CNN reports.
The Canadian Judicial Council will decide if Camp will be dismissed over the comments. The story as reported is very limited and some details are deliberately not reported.

The talk-show celebrity and 10% owner of Weight Watchers has seen $117 million in wealth vanished as shares have crashed 66% from their high notched November 2015.

Shares of Weight Watchers are down another  7%,  after the company said it is replacing its CEO.
Reality is setting now as things haven't worked out as many investors hoped after Winfrey formed close professional ties with the company in October 2015.

But the level of enthusiasm is proving in hindsight to have been much overdone. The company's revenue during the just completed second-quarter of $309.8 million is flat with a year ago, although profit is up 9.3%. The company lost $10.8 million in the first quarter.

    Notre Dame Cathedral
Three women were arrested in connection with gas cylinders found inside a car left in front of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. One of the women had a letter in her purse swearing allegiance to ISIS.
In the letter, she said she was answering the call of one of the highest-ranking figures in ISIS, who was killed in late August.
The letter also said that "I am attacking you in your lands in order to terrorize you," according to the prosecutor.
Describing the women as radicalized, the three were likely planning an "imminent and violent" attack, French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said after their arrests near Paris.
A police officer was injured in the shoulder when one woman attacked him with a knife in Boussy-Saint-Antoine, southeast of Paris. The injury was not life-threatening.
The minister said the women are 19, 23 and 39. CNN affiliate BFMTV said the owner of the car reported two daughters as missing and they were arrested.

He was born the son of a prince. He boasts that his companies developed multimillion-dollar properties across the globe — from St. Lucia to Southern California to the Middle East.

His sprawling, 8,000-square-foot home in Russell Township, Ohio, complete with horses and an in-ground swimming pool, and the sports cars attest to the lifelong success of Ali Pascal Mahvi.

Yet there he was, waiting his turn, a prince becoming a pauper, asking for food stamps in Geauga County, Ohio. And, he got for himself, his wife, and their three adult children.
For two years, the family was handed about $300 a month in government food stamps. They also wanted help to pay their gas and electric bills. And Medicaid.

Detectives are now looking at Mahvi’s myriad bank accounts, trying to piece together his family’s total worth as they investigate potential theft as well as Medicaid and welfare fraud charges.
“It’s outrageous to see a situation where somebody is living in a house almost worth a million dollars, a horse barn, driving luxury cars, have millions of dollars in overseas bank accounts and here they are accepting this type of assistance,” said Geauga County Prosecutor James R. Flaiz.
“Certainly, they were very good at manipulating the system.”

Mahvi, reached by phone, adamantly denied any wrongdoing. He said he is "not a wealthy man" and that the investigation "is all a misunderstanding."
He said despite his appearance of wealth, he was and is eligible for aid.

A Customs and Border Protection officer has been arrested on suspicion of allowing unauthorized immigrants into the U.S. in exchange for sexual favors and money.

Jose Cota, an officer at the San Ysidro Port of Entry, was arrested along with alleged co-conspirators.
Cota, 50,  has been on duty for 15 years.  He allowed Juarez-Herrera and Aguilar-Martinez, a married Mexican couple, to illegally smuggle people from Mexico into the U.S. through his vehicle inspection lane on four occasions.

Cota admitted during an interview with FBI agents that in exchange he received sexual favors from Juarez-Herrera, according to the complaint. Bank records show Cota also received large amounts of cash deposited into his bank account.

Juarez-Herrera and Aguilar-Martinez were pulled over in San Marcos by a sheriff’s deputy for traffic violations. Two undocumented immigrants, who Juarez-Herrera later admitted she had smuggled hours earlier, were also taken into custody.

Joy Hibbins, a former teacher in Gloucestershire, England, became suicidal following a devastating incident and developed symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. Her own traumatic experience in 2012 led Hibbins to set up the Suicide Crisis charity a year later  a lifeline she says helped her also recover personally.

“Their person-centered approach and emphasis on being understanding, kind and gentle is very inspirational, yet so simple and practical. People who have used the service are in no doubt that it has helped save lives,"

More than 800,000 people commit suicide globally every year and many more attempt it, the World Health Organization reported.

Suicide was the second leading cause of death in 2012 among 15- to 29-year-olds, after accidents.

San Francisco 49ers fullback Bruce Miller was reportedly arrested in one of the stranger stories you’ll hear. And it cost him his job.   Miller was arrested for assault after knocking on a hotel room door and attacking two men inside according to KTVU. The 49ers announced shortly after the news broke that they had released Miller.

According to KTVU, which cited San Francisco police sources, Miller knocked on a hotel room in Fisherman’s Wharf on Monday morning. He was told by the room’s occupant that he had the wrong room. Miller then allegedly attacked the guest, KTVU said, and also attacked his father when the father came to his son’s aid.

The father is 70 years old, KTVU said, and Miller allegedly punched him in the face. The 70-year-old man suffered broken bones after allegedly getting punched by a 248-pound NFL fullback.
Miller fled, but was apprehended and arrested, KTVU said. The ABC affiliate in San Francisco confirmed the arrest.

KTVU reported that Miller had tried to check into the hotel on Sunday night but was told it was booked. He returned Monday morning.

Miller was arrested in 2015 for suspicion of domestic violence, and later pleaded no contest to disturbing the peace, a misdemeanor. Miller had been with the 49ers since 2011

      Image result for marijuana treatment

More than 7,000 New Yorkers have signed up to obtain non-smokeable marijuana preparations early this year through one of the most cautious medical marijuana programs in the nation. Now, the state is looking to expand it, with plans for home delivery and more dispensaries.

State health officials say they will also allow nurse practitioners to authorize medical cannabis, and are weighing proposals to make chronic pain a qualifying condition for medical cannabis. To make it easier for patients to find doctors, the state may post an online list of physicians who participate in the program.

Twenty-five states and the District of Columbia now have medical marijuana programs. Enrollment rates vary considerably.. Michigan has 182,000. Rhode Island, which has a population 1/20th of New York's, has nearly 12,000.

      Image result for denise huskins

The case began when Denise Huskins' boyfriend, Aaron Quinn, reported that kidnappers broke into the couple's Vallejo home, abducted her, and demanded an $8,500 ransom.
Quinn's lawyers have said he awoke to a bright light in his face, and two kidnappers bound and drugged him.

The 29-year-old Denise turned up safe two days later in her hometown of Huntington Beach, [200 miles plus], where she says she was dropped off. She showed up just hours before the ransom was due.

Later that day, Vallejo police said at a news conference the kidnapping was a hoax.
"The fact that we've essentially wasted all of these resources for really nothing is upsetting," said Lt. Kenny Park during an interview in March.

The case  took another bizarre twist when federal prosecutors announced they charged a soon-to-be disbarred Harvard-trained lawyer with her abduction.

Authorities say this case may have finally come together because the suspect in all of this, 38-year-old Matthew Muller, apparently left his cellphone behind at the most recent home invasion. He's now suspected in a string of violent crimes.

The FBI says Muller was charged last month after he was arrested in South Lake Tahoe in connection with a home-invasion robbery that had similarities to the kidnapping.

The couple, stood with their hands held tightly, with the  attorneys who called for the Vallejo Police Department to issue an apology.

Many thought this case is a hoax. It came to an end because of the police actions or lack thereof which emboldened the kidnapper.   Just a thought.

Hillary Clinton’s Plan for Lowering Prescription Drug Costs.   [Summery]

A typical senior on Medicare spends over $500 per year out of his or her own pocket on prescription drugs. And individuals with chronic health conditions or serious illnesses can spend thousands of dollars each year in out of pocket spending.

Americans are having a hard time paying the bill.  “One of out every four people facing higher drug costs were also unable to afford medical bills or medications; one in five said they missed a payment on a major bill.”

In her 2008 campaign, she called for allowing Medicare to negotiate with drug companies to reduce prices and rein in costs.
      1. Her plan will demand a stop to excessive profiteering and marketing by denying tax breaks for direct-to-consumer advertising and demanding that drug companies invest in R&D in exchange for taxpayer support – rather than marketing or excessive profits.
      2. She will encourage competition to get more generics on the market and create a Federal backstop for when there are excessively high-priced drugs that face no competition.
      3. She will cap what insurers can charge consumers in out-of-pocket costs, putting money back in the family wallet. Monthly $250
      4. Require drug companies that benefit from taxpayers’ support to invest in research, not marketing or profits.
      5. Prohibit “pay for delay” arrangements that keep generic competition off the market.
      6. Allow Americans to import drugs from abroad – with careful protections for safety and quality.
      7. Allow Medicare to negotiate drug and biologic prices.

The efforts of Hillary Clinton as written here is Half Hearted efforts. Too much dancing with the words. No full explanation to the conditions people are in.

Not enough Hill. Do better Assasmant. Show some passion to fix it.                                                 Just a thought..
