Unfavorable..

 Image result for unfavorable
A new Washington Post-ABC News poll showed. Fifty-six percent of Americans share an unfavorable impression of Clinton--the highest it’s ever been in her nearly 20 years of public service.
Were it not for Trump, Clinton would reign as the least popular major-party presidential nominee in modern American history, the Washington Post noted. According to the poll, business mogul has a 63 percent unfavorable rating among Americans.
Clinton’s negative image is essentially equal to Donald Trump’s. Thirty-eight percent of registered voters have a favorable impression of Clinton, while 59 percent do not. That’s on par with Trump’s 37/60 split.
The poll found that unfavorable ratings are increasing among three demographics that have traditionally supported Clinton. Among women, her favorables dropped from 54 percent to 45 percent; with Hispanics, 71 to 55 percent; and among liberals, her ratings fell from 76 to 63 percent.
It may be difficult to isolate why Clinton has experienced such a significant decline since the conclusion of the Democratic convention in Philadelphia, the Washington Post said, but it speculated that recent headlines questioning the Clinton Foundation’s ties to the State Department and her noticeable absence on the campaign trail probably haven’t helped her.
Something is happening here.... Just a thought.

The Indianapolis woman quoted biblical Scripture in court documents. She said that a parent who "spares the rod, spoils the child," and: "Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you strike him with a rod, he will not die. If you strike him with the rod, you will save his soul from Sheol."
The woman, a Burmese refugee granted political asylum in the U.S., also is pointing to cultural differences as part of her defense.
Kin Park Thaing said she stopped her son from dangerous behavior that would have seriously harmed his 3-year-old sister. Thaing, documents say, hit both children with a plastic coat hanger before telling them to pray for forgiveness.
A doctor at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health found 36 bruises across the boy's back, thigh and left arm. Three photographs submitted to the court show deep purple lines striping the boy's back and several welts on his arm. The boy has one curved bruise on his cheek in the shape of a hook on a coat hanger.

Hiding behind the bible is the first stupid act she did. She should live the Bible first before using  punishment. After jail, she should be sent back to Burma.  Just a thought.

Three Canadian cruise ship passengers were charged with drug smuggling after Sydney police allegedly found 95 kilograms of cocaine in their cabin luggage.
The haul valued at 31 million Australian dollars  was the largest seizure in Australia of narcotics carried by passengers of a cruise ship or airliner, Australian Border Force commander Tim Fitzgerald said.
Three individuals were arrested after the MS Sea Princess, operated by California-based Princess Cruises, berthed in Sydney.  They face potential life sentences if convicted.
The trio had boarded the ship at the British port city of Southampton. Police are investigating whether they boarded with the drugs or sourced them from one of several South American ports the ship visited on its way to Australia.
U.S. Homelands Security and the Canada Border Services identify the three as "high-risk passengers" among the 1,800 on board. More may be on board.
Fitzgerald alleged 35 kilograms of cocaine were found in suitcases in a cabin the women shared and 60 kilograms of the drug were found in the man's luggage in a separate cabin.

The world has had lots to say about 15 French towns that banned the full-body burkini swimsuit at a time when France and places of worship are the target of terrorist attacks.”
All this seems a clear violation not only of the free exercise of religion guaranteed by the Constitution, but also of the liberté and égalitéthe French supposedly hold dear. It is important to remember that these burkini bans, like the 2010 French law outlawing headgear that covers the face, are not so different from American garb laws wielded against Catholics in the not-so-distant past.
In one of America’s first culture wars, Protestants attacked Catholicism as un-Christian, immoral and anti-democratic. In the late 19th century, several states passed laws, obviously aimed at Catholic nuns, that forbade teachers from wearing clerical garb in public schools. Today, such statutes remain on the books in Pennsylvania and Nebraska.
France and the United States both separated church and state in an effort to avoid revisiting the bloody religious wars of early modern Europe.  The French sought to undercut the power of religious institutions, fashioning a secular nation in which almost all expressions of religion were exiled to the private realm of home and church. It is fine to be Catholic, Protestant or Jewish, but you could not exercise that liberty in school, on city streets or at the beach.  More issues are involved, yet I agree.

U.S. Soccer suspended goalie Hope Solo from the U.S. women’s national soccer team for six months for her divisive comments aimed at Sweden during the Rio Games.

“The comments by Hope after the match against Sweden during the 2016 Olympics were unacceptable and do not meet the standard of conduct we require from our National Team players,” U.S. Soccer President Sunil Gulati said in a statement. “Beyond the athletic arena, and beyond the results, the Olympics celebrate and represent the ideals of fair play and respect. We expect all of our representatives to honor those principles, with no exceptions.”

Solo blasted Sweden after the U.S. lost, 2-1, on penalty kicks in the quarterfinals on Aug. 12.
“We played a bunch of cowards. The best team did not win today"

This is the second time Solo, 35, has been suspended by U.S. Soccer. In January 2015, she was banned for a month after police in Manhattan Beach (Calif.) stopped a U.S. Soccer Federation van and arrested her husband on suspicion of driving under the influence. Solo was a passenger in the van and wasn’t charged.

Rio de Janeiro Local police said Lochte and his teammates had actually been confronted by private security guards after damaging a gas station bathroom and ......peed on the plants.
Speedo USA  announced that it is ending its sponsorship of Lochte. " we cannot condone behavior that is counter to the values this brand has long stood for."      It will also donate $50,000 "of Lochte's fee to Save The Children, a global charity partner of Speedo USA's parent company, for children in Brazil."
Later on Monday, a spokesman for Ralph Lauren said in a statement that the company will not be renewing its contract with Lochte, which "was specifically in support of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games." The company also said that it "continues to proudly sponsor the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Team and the values that its athletes embody."
In addition, Reuters reported that Syneron Candela, parent of Gentle Hair Removal, will also be ending its partnership with Lochte. In April, the company had named the Olympic swimmer as the global brand ambassador for its Gentle Laser Hair Removal system.

When Nicole Smith took her son’s EpiPen prescription to her local Walgreens she balked at the $600 price quote for a two-pack. Her high-deductible health plan meant Mylan’s “$0 co-pay card” would only bring the cost down to $500.

The story is an all-too-familiar one: company buys dated drug, raises prices and impedes patient access to life-saving treatment in the process.

This time, the target of the tired narrative is a medical device with an unusual amount of brand name recognition, effectively no alternatives and a growing patient population

The price of the EpiPen, which treats emergency allergic reactions, has climbed sixfold over the last several years.  While inflation is below zero.

There is a solution to this price gouging, but would the Presidential Candidates say something about it?  Vote your Conscious.   Just a thought.

If a robbery did indeed happen, Lochte, Feigen, Gunnar Bentz and Jack Conger are the victims. They are the ones who were "liberated" of their wallets and, in Lochte’s version, had a gun held to his forehead.

Yet the 12-time Olympic medalist and his teammates are being treated as if they stood atop Christ the Redeemer and flipped off all of Brazil.

A judge ordered the swimmers’ passports seized and said they should not leave Brazil. Judge Keyla Blank's order said investigators need more time to determine whether the Americans filed a false police report, a "crime" punishable by up to six months detention or a fine, mind you.

And on Wed. night, Bentz and Conger were pulled off their flight to the U.S. Because escalating this to the level of a capital crime is seen as appropriate in Brazil. Now we know what really happened.

This is shameful indeed.

Valeant-Enron like...

Reitz has filed papers in two Los Angeles courthouses laying out details of what he and his lawyer call "a massive fraud."

Valeant became one of the hottest healthcare stocks in recent years by buying other firms' medicines and then swiftly hiking their prices by as much as 500%.

Specialty pharmacies such as Philidor are part of a little-known strategy by Valeant and other pharmaceutical companies to sell high-priced drugs that insurers otherwise wouldn't pay for.

Many of Valeant's expensive brand-name medicines including Jublia for toenail fungus and Solodyn for acne are similar to generic medicines available for far less. When patients fill those prescriptions at the pharmacy, insurers often require the druggist to switch to the generic causing Valeant to lose the sale.

To get around that blockade, Valeant has been distributing coupons on the Internet and to doctor's offices that allow patients to lower or even avoid a co-pay if they ordered the drugs through Philidor.

A federal securities fraud class action is brought on behalf of  all persons and entities who purchased or otherwise acquired the securities of Valeant between February 23, 2015 and October 20, 2015, inclusive, seeking to pursue remedies under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.

How can Seniors afford the medicine?   Just a Nightmare thought.

A Canadian woman looking for her missing daughter since she went missing as a toddler almost 40 years ago received a Facebook message that may change her life, the Ottawa Citizen reports.

The private message sent to Liliane Cyr, who's maintained a Facebook page dedicated to finding daughter Yohanna, was from a U.S. woman who started off asking a very specific question about a birthmark on Yohanna's finger, followed by this: "I'm not 100% sure, but I think I might be your daughter."
The woman told Cyr that the discovery that her birth certificate was a fake, an odd lack of early childhood photos, and fuzzy memories of a plane ride led her to suspect something was amiss in her past.
The Montreal Gazette tells the story of what happened the week Yohanna disappeared in 1978, with 20-year-old Cyr leaving 18-month-old Yohanna in the care of Aaron Lewis Guay, her U.S. boyfriend at the time, while she was out of town for work.
Guay met up with Cyr a few days later without the baby, first telling Cyr his mom was watching Yohanna, then saying the toddler had drowned in the tub and he'd buried her.
Guay was charged with kidnapping, but he denied his original story and a judge ruled there wasn't enough evidence to go on with the case; he was released and disappeared.
Cyr says she's trying not to get her hopes up, but she notes that photos of the woman resemble Yohanna. DNA tests are in the works.  May Be?

Fifteen prisoners at the Guantanamo Bay detention center were sent to the United Arab Emirates in the single largest release of detainees during the Obama administration, the Pentagon announced.

The transfer of 12 Yemeni and three Afghans to the UAE comes amid a renewed push to whittle down the number of detainees held at the U.S. prison in Cuba that President Barack Obama aims to close.

The Pentagon says 61 detainees now remain at Guantanamo, which was opened in January 2002 to hold foreign fighters suspected of links to the Taliban or the al-Qaida terrorist organization. During the Bush administration, 532 prisoners were released from Guantanamo, often in large groups to Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia.

The latest batch of released prisoners had been held without charge at Guantanamo, some for over 14 years. They were cleared for release by the Periodic Review Board, comprised of representatives from six U.S. government.

Attorney General Kathleen Kane, the first woman elected to the office, showed little emotion as jurors announced their verdict. The jurors agreed Kane leaked information about a 2009 grand jury probe to embarrass a rival prosecutor.

The leak grew out of Kane’s feud with former office prosecutor Frank Fina. According to trial testimony, Kane believed Fina had planted a story that showed she had dropped a statehouse sting.

Kane, 50, was once a rising star in the state’s Democratic party, using her then-husband’s trucking fortune to run for statewide office after stints as a Scranton prosecutor and a stay-at-home mother.

But an early honeymoon period in office, when she spoke out for the legalization of gay marriage, was soon marred by turmoil as she sparred with officials inside and outside the office.

She described the charges as payback for her efforts to take on an “old-boys network” in state government that traded offensive, mildly pornographic emails. Her investigation led two state Supreme Court justices and others to resign.

Perjury, the only felony charged, can bring up to seven years in prison. The misdemeanor charges Kane faced included conspiracy, official oppression and false swearing. Kane lost her law license over the charges.

U.S.-backed fighters liberated a strategic Syrian city from the Islamic State after weeks of intense fighting and coalition bombing.  Joyous residents of Manbij poured into the streets.  Men shaved their beards, and women could walk outside without face coverings for the first time in years.

Manbij was the main processing center for foreign fighters coming to join the Islamic State and also a place where terrorists were sent to carry out operations outside the region.
U.S. intelligence officials are analyzing thousands of items captured as  militants were fleeing the city in recent weeks.

The battle was a test for the newly formed Syrian Democratic Forces, a collection of Kurdish and Arab forces organized to battle the Islamic State. The force is being advised by U.S. Special Operations Forces and supported by coalition airstrikes.

Opposition forces in Syria have captured about 20% of the territory controlled by the Islamic State at its peak last year. Progress has been faster in neighboring Iraq, where Iraqi forces have retaken at least 45% of the territory held by the Islamic State.

Earlier this year, the White House authorized the Pentagon to send several hundred additional U.S. personnel to help organize and advise the opposition forces in Syria.

So one fraction of terrorists is being defeated, are we supporting their New Replacement?

Who will rebuild Syria?  And who will pay for it?       Just a thought.

Gary Earl Johnson is an American businessman, politician and the Libertarian Party nominee for President of the United States in the 2016 election. He served as the 29th Governor of New Mexico as a member of the Republican Party. He was also the Libertarian Party's nominee for President of the United States in the 2012 election.

Johnson announced his candidacy for president on April 21, 2011, as a Republican, on a libertarian platform emphasizing the United States public debt and a balanced budget in the federal government, protection of civil liberties, military non-interventionism, his advocacy of the FairTax and opposition to the War on Drugs.

On January 6, 2016, Johnson announced his candidacy for the Libertarian nomination in 2016,[5] and in May he selected former Republican Governor of Massachusetts William Weld as his running mate. On May 29, 2016, Johnson won the Libertarian nomination on the second ballot with 55.8% of the delegates.

Johnson outlined his non-interventionist foreign policy thinking as well, arguing against military campaigns with "unintended consequences" that make the world "less safe." He also voiced concern about the dozens of treaties "where we are obligated to defend [other countries'] borders, and none of those treaties have been authorized by Congress."

With about 100 million Americans under heat alerts, the steamy weather is giving the much-maligned pests a reason to spread their wings and fly.
Entomologists and bug experts say conditions are ripe for the domesticated versions of the brown-colored bugs to get active, including taking to the air.
Because of the extreme heat, they may be trying to find a more comfortable place in which to live, like every body else.. That is, they are on the move to find a better, cooler place. High temperature cause insects to use up a lot of energy.
Their development also depends on ambient temperature. So it is conceivable that they are more active in this current, very hot summer.

If you see some flying, you know the reason.

You’d think things would have gone swimmingly for the all-time Olympic gold medal holder, Michael Phelps. But they didn’t.

Phelps carried the American flag during the opening ceremonies on August 5, 2016. Then he added more gold medals to his impressive lifetime total.

As Phelps told ESPN, following his announced retirement in 2012, he struggled to “figure out who he was outside the pool.” In his words, “I was a train wreck. I was like a time bomb, waiting to go off. I had no self-esteem, no self-worth. There were times where I didn’t want to be here. It was not good. I felt lost.”    He self-medicated or kept it to himself.

In the immediate aftermath of that DUI arrest, he cut himself off from family and other loved ones and “thought the world would just be better off without me . . . I figured that was the best thing to do, just end my life.”

A former All Pro linebacker Ray Lewis, whom Phelps considers a kind of “older brother.” Seeing the hopelessness and despair in his young friend, Lewis, an outspoken Christian, told him, “This is when we fight . . . This is when real character shows up. Don’t shut down.

Lewis convinced Phelps to enter rehab and gave him a book to read while he was there: “The Purpose-Driven Life” by Rick Warren.

The book changed Phelps’ life. Within a few days, Phelps called Lewis an told him, man. "You saved my life.’”  The book convinced Phelps to reconcile with his father from whom he had been estranged for more than two decades. Upon seeing each other, they embraced.

Michael Phelps’ story is a reminder that no matter how big a mess your life may be, and no matter how dim the last embers of hope may glow, God is still there.  Just a thought.

Gone wrong??

WikiLeaks, the controversial transparency organization that publishes classified government documents and other confidential materials, is fueling Internet conspiracy theories by offering a $20,000 reward for information on a Democratic National Committee staffer who was killed last month.

Seth Rich, a 27-year-old data analyst at the DNC, was shot and killed early one Sunday morning in what police say was robbery gone wrong. He was killed while walking home in a Washington, D.C. neighborhood that has seen a recent uptick in crime.

Rich's murder quickly became a fascination of right-wing conspiracy theorists, including longtime informal Donald Trump adviser Roger Stone, who told NBC News that he has been in contact with WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange.

Asked about the reward, WikiLeaks said in a statement, "We treat threats toward any suspected source of WikiLeaks with extreme gravity. This should not be taken to imply that Seth Rich was a source to WikiLeaks or to imply that his murder is connected to our publication.

Hillary Clinton accused Donald of casually inciting violence.

Judgement on foreign affairs is the major problem for Hillary, not her best suit.
It started with the private server, then deleting emails, Benghazi, getting USA involved in Syria, Egypt and Libya. The irresistible desire to invade other poor countries and turn it to ruins.

The outcome is shamefull, to put the people of Syria in this misery for so long. To put Syria back to what it was may take 100 years if ever.

Mary Knowlton and Her Husband.

Mary Knowlton, a retired librarian from Minnesota and a married mother of two grown sons, had signed up for a course [citizen police academy drill]  after two recent break-ins in her neighborhood.
She also was trying to show support for police officers after the recent deadly attacks on police in Dallas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The Florida retiree was fatally shot during a citizen police academy drill while playing the part of an intruder, her son said. She was struck by a live round while almost three dozen other participants looked on, police said.

Mary Knowlton's son  told NBC News that he forgives the officer who fired the fatal shot that killed his mom at the Police Department event.  "My mom taught us never to hate," Steve Knowlton said. "I can't harbor hate."

Adam Knowlton said he was supposed to celebrate his 50th birthday with his parents and his dad was "hysterical" when he was told the news.

Punta Gorda's city manager expressed condolences Wednesday.
"We are shocked by this horrific accident and are grieving deeply over Mary's passing," Howard Kunik said. "We also would like to acknowledge the impact this has had on the other participants who were present during this tragedy."

How sad is that, the mother who died, and the officer who lives with that for the rest of his life.

Glenn Beck must reveal who told him a Saudi Arabian student was the “money man” behind the Boston Marathon bombing, a judge ruled Tuesday.  The right-wing commentator is fighting a defamation lawsuit filed by Abdulrahman Alharbi, who was injured in the April 15, 2013, attack that killed three people.  Beck continued to link the Saudi national to the attacks even after U.S. officials said publicly he'd been cleared.

U.S. District Court Judge Patti Saris ordered Beck and his producer to reveal the names of two Department of Homeland Security employees they said had linked Alharbi to the attack, Politico reported. Beck said in earlier depositions that he never spoke to the sources, and his producer said he wrote down quotes on Post-it notes that he threw away, according to the ruling.

The producer “testified that the sources did not explain when the alleged financing took place, how any funds were transferred, the amounts of financing, what the financing was used for, or how the financing was otherwise accomplished,” the ruling said.

Saris ruled Alharbi need only prove negligence by Beck in appearances on Fox News and his news website The Blaze. She rejected contentions by lawyers for Beck that Alharbi was a public figure at the time Beck made his comments.

New Issue?

Two police officers have been attacked with a machete outside a police station in Belgium, local authorities have said. The officers, both women, were assaulted in Charleroi, south of Brussels, on Saturday afternoon by an attacker shouting in Arabic, police said.

The attacker was identified as a 33-year-old Algerian, who had resided illegally in Belgium since 2012, and was known to police for criminal offenses.

Lone wolf attacks with machetes, knives and axes against police and civilians have recently become more frequent in Europe, with similar incidents reported in France and Germany.

They are mainly carried by asylum seekers, who had recently arrived in Europe from the Middle East or Western Asia, may or may not have association with terror groups.

What's New?

PHOTO: Donald Trump kisses a baby during a campaign rally, July 29, 2016, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The feuds between Republican front-runner and members of the GOP establishment are a near-constant feature of the 2016 election season and for good reason. Trump has never wanted to play by Washington's rules, and party stalwarts never wanted him to be the nominee.

The split in the Republican party is nothing new. It happens frequently. But this time  is very difficult for those who spent all their lives in the political game and here comes someone right out of nowhere.

Trump earlier in the week had declined to endorse Ryan and McCain, as well as New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte. He is using the same technique of keeping the Media around. His late endorsement to Ryan, and McCain does the same effect.

On the other  side is Hillary Clinton, the establishment. Now she faces all the establishment problems. Iraq, Syria, Libya, Economy, Taxes, Immigration, healthcare and Seniors who can't afford the high cost of Medicines. it is your choice.

Richelle Shetina, 53, was dating Dr Joseph Sonnier III in 2012
Dr. Thomas Dixon, a Texas-based plastic surgeon, was convicted in the murder of Lubbock pathologist Dr. Joseph Sonnier, who was found shot and stabbed to death in his home in 2012.

Prosecutors argued that Dixon was an obsessed ex who paid his friend Shepard to stalk and then kill Sonnier because Dixon was jealous that Sonnier was with Dixon's former girlfriend, Richelle Shetina.

Shepard stabbed and shot Sonnier July 10, 2012, after he arrived home from work and then, he said, drove to Dixon's house to tell him what happened.

Later, when police questioned Shepard, he said Dixon paid him three silver bars and gave him a box of expensive Cuban cigars in return for killing Sonnier. Pawn shop records show that Shepard had cashed in silver bars the day after the murder.

Dixon was arrested and charged with two counts of capital murder. Shepard had accepted a plea deal to testify against Dixon in exchange for pleading guilty to first-degree murder charges to avoid the death penalty. Shepard is serving a life sentence at a maximum security prison in west Texas.
