De-Naturalization

 .

Two U.S. naturalized citizens had that status revoked by the Department of Justice this week as part of a push by the Trump administration to denaturalize those whom it accused of gaining citizenship while concealing crimes or committing fraud.

DOJ officials announced Thursday they had secured the denaturalization of the two individuals — a Ukrainian native and Florida resident who was found to be involved in smuggling weapons out of the United States and a Cuban woman convicted of swindling more than $6 million in fraudulent Medicare claims while also living in Florida.
“American citizenship is a sacred privilege — not a cheap status that can be obtained dishonestly,” Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote on X.
“Today’s denaturalization actions reflect this Department of Justice’s ongoing efforts to strip citizenship from people who conceal crimes or defraud the American people during the immigration process.” Just a thought.

Explosive..

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) and some of his rank-and-file members are articulating increasingly discordant ideas of what "due process" looks like for Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-Fla.).

Some Democrats are prepared to call for Cherfilus-McCormick to resign or be expelled as soon as the Ethics Committee makes its determination, Axios reported Wednesday.

But Jeffries and his leadership team have signaled they will continue to defend Cherfilus-McCormick until the resolution of her federal criminal trial, which starts on April 20 and could go on much longer.

The nature of the allegations against Cherfilus-McCormick is of such an explosive and sensitive nature that some Democrats feel compelled to eject her sooner rather than later.
She is accused both by the Ethics Committee and in her federal indictment of laundering a $5 million FEMA overpayment to her family's health care company and using it to fund her congressional campaign.

Additional allegations include tax fraud and campaign finance violations. She faces up to 53 years in prison if convicted at trial.

I Do..

Getting married and being single are not the same; they offer distinct, often opposing, lifestyles, benefits, and challenges.
Marriage typically provides shared finances, companionship, and long-term security, while singleness often offers higher autonomy, personal growth, and stronger social ties.
Both can lead to a fulfilled life depending on individual goals.
  •  Married people often experience higher levels of reported well-being and emotional support, benefiting from a "built-in" partner.
  •  Marriage generally involves combining financial responsibilities and, often, navigating family life together.
  • Studies show that single people tend to be better at maintaining ties with friends, neighbors, and coworkers than their married counterparts.
Single: Unmatched flexibility, time for self-discovery, and lower risk of divorce-related financial or emotional strain.
  • Married: Potential for better economic conditions, shared burdens, and a consistent partner to share life's milestone.

Third Party..

A unanimous Supreme Court ruling that had nothing to do with guns on its face may still prove one of the most useful legal developments the Second Amendment movement has seen in a long time.
That is the argument attorney Mark W. Smith made in his latest video on The Four Boxes Diner, where he said the Court’s 9-0 decision in Cox Communications v. Sony is “hugely beneficial” to both the Second Amendment and the gun industry.
The ruling matters because it reinforces a powerful legal principle: if a company provides a lawful product or service, it generally cannot be held liable just because someone else later misuses it.
Smith said that matters enormously for gun makers, gun sellers, and the broader firearms space.
His reasoning was straightforward. If anti-gun activists cannot ban firearms outright, they often try to attack the industry through lawsuits, hoping to make it too expensive, too risky, or too politically toxic for companies to keep making and selling guns. In that kind of environment, a Supreme Court ruling that sharply limits liability for third-party misuse can become a very useful shield. Just a thought.

Lauded..

The 42-day shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security could soon come to an end after the Republican-led Senate, in the early hours of Friday morning, moved to fund most of the department while conceding to Democratic Party demands.

After repeated deadlocks that left airports across the country with staffing shortages, the lawmakers finally agreed to fund DHS and its various agencies such as the Transportation Security Administration and the U.S. Coast Guard, but they held off on funding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and part of Customs and Border Protection (CBP), which Democrats have singled out for their role in implementing Trump’s harsh anti-immigration agenda.

Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D, N.Y.), meanwhile, lauded the deal. “I’m very proud of our Democratic caucus,” Schumer reportedly said.

Why..

California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s repeated claims in recent weeks promoting his state as more tax-friendly than Florida and Texas don't add up, according to an expert who ran the numbers.

"Texas and Florida are the REAL high-tax states," Newsom recently posted on X.

"Your middle class pays more taxes in Texas than our middle class in California," Newsom said in Texas. "It’s a great mythology, it’s just ‘the richest of the rich come here because they can avoid paying a damn penny."

The comments drew pushback from conservatives on social media, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and from Just Facts President James Agresti, who says he looked into a "number of different angles" to determine the "validity" of Newsom’s claims.

"I looked at how much is each state taxing each of its citizens on average? So if you look at California, they collect about $10,000 a year in taxes for every person in the state, whereas the figures for Texas and Florida are only about $5,000, or about half as much," Agresti told Fox News Digital.

Comment:

The reason Gov. Newsom makes this statement?

The Dems are doing whatever they can when it comes to taxes and.......  Some Citizens are moving out to Texas and Florida.  Just a thought.

Flipping..

The top Senate Democrat wants President Donald Trump to tap the nation’s oil stockpile as fuel prices skyrocket, years after blocking his attempt to replenish the supply when prices were low.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., called on Trump to unleash reserve barrels of oil from America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) as oil prices spike amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Schumer argued in a statement that the reserve "exists for moments exactly like this."
During his first term, Trump wanted to use about $3 billion from a colossal COVID-19 stimulus package making its way through Congress to fill the reserve, but the move was promptly rejected by Schumer and congressional Democrats, who panned it as a "bailout" for the oil industry.
The price of oil per barrel at the time was roughly $29, according to WTI Crude Oil. Now, oil has eclipsed $110 per barrel over the weekend for the first time since 2022.

Chuck..

Senate  Chuck Schumer is heavily criticizing rising prices, attributing them to "Trumpflation" caused by tariffs on groceries, goods, and energy. He accuses corporations of using AI for "price gouging" and warns that new tariffs could cost families thousands annually.
Schumer claims Trump's tariffs act as a "tax" that increases household costs by thousands of dollars annually, specifically impacting food, car prices, and consumer goods.

  • Schumer has warned against the use of AI by companies like Instacart for, what he calls, "shakedown tactics" that inflate grocery prices.
  • He is calling for measures to lower costs, including asking the Federal Trade Commission to investigate high prices and urging that businesses display how much tariffs contribute to total costs.
  • Schumer argues these policies are hurting American families, small businesses, and manufacturing.

Gasoline..

As a result of the War with Iran. the gas prices moved up $1 per gallon of gas. The Media are high lighting the increase in cost as a result of an increase in the gas prices.

During President Time in office, while the US was not on war with anyone, the prices of Gas went up to $5 and the media was considering it "Transitional"

At One point, President Joe Biden said "the world will experience food shortages as a result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine". "It's going to be real," Biden said at a news conference in Brussels. "The price of the sanctions is not just imposed upon Russia. It's imposed upon an awful lot of countries as well."

Sinema..

Former Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Arizona) admitted to having an affair with her bodyguard, Matthew Ammel, and insisted that his ex-wife, Heather Ammel, should not be allowed to sue her over it.

In January, Heather filed a lawsuit against Sinema in Moore County, North Carolina, six months ago. She claimed that the former Arizona senator maintained an inappropriate relationship, which ultimately led to the end of her 14-year marriage with Matthew.

The lawsuit accuses Sinema of “intentional and malicious interference” with her marriage to Ammel, a former Army veteran who worked on Sinema’s security detail starting in 2022 before he joined her Senate staff.

The suit also says the former senator sent Ammel messages which “exceeded the bounds of a normal working relationship and were of romantic and lascivious natures.”

The complaint claims that Sinema was “handsy” with the veteran during public outings. By mid-2024, he stopped wearing his wedding ring, telling his wife it was better for “public optics” so “it wouldn’t look like [Sinema] was putting her hands on a married man.”

Senior..

Community centers for seniors—often called senior centers, day centers, or intergenerational clubs—are widely established across almost all developed and many developing nations as part of public social services.
They are not limited to a specific list of countries; rather, they are a standard component of infrastructure for aging populations globally.

  • South Korea: Known for an extremely high density of elderly community centers (over 64,000) that serve as crucial "mutual care spaces," particularly in rural areas and small towns.
  • Vietnam: Currently expanding a nationwide model of "Intergenerational Self-Help Clubs" (ISHCs).
  • United States: Has a vast, long-standing network of municipal and non-profit senior centers that provide social activities, meals, health screenings, and educational programs.
  • European Countries (e.g., Norway, Sweden, Germany, Netherlands): Generally  focus on "active aging," social inclusion, and providing support services within the local neighborhood.
  • Latin American Countries (e.g., Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica): Increasingly formalizing "National Care Systems" that include community-based support and centers to address the needs of older adults and their caregivers.
